Still a possible invasion of Syria

From the files of Major General Paul E. Vallely at Stand Up America U.S.

350,000 soldiers, 20,000 tanks, 2,500 warplanes and 460 military helicopters are amassing in Saudi Arabia for a military exercise called 'Northern Thunder.

The exercise will involve ground, naval and air force personnel from twenty nations, none from the West.

According to the official announcement, military forces will be arriving from the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Sudan, Chad, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, Morocco, Pakistan, Tunisia, Oman, Malaysia, and other countries.
The exercise is scheduled to last for 18 days. All airspace in northern Saudi Arabia will be closed to air traffic. Riyadh has called Northern Thunder "the largest and most important drill ever staged in the region."

A stated aim of the drill is to send the message that Saudi Arabia and its allies "stand united in confronting all challenges and preserving peace and stability in the region."

Editor's note: This announcement comes amid rumors that Turkey and Saudi Arabia are preparing for a massive invasion of Syria. If Northern Thunder is more than a drill, the goal would be to take out the Assad regime before Russia, Iran and Hezbollah can react.
