Baltimore: From charm city to deadly city

From the file of America's unhyphenated patriot, Lloyd Marcus

Visit Lloyd Marcus Online

Baltimore's 40th murder in May set a new record for homicides in one month.

My friend wrote . . . “Lloyd The American Legion National Convention is scheduled for late August through early September, 2015 in Baltimore City.

Sad to say, I have canceled my reservations as I do not think the Convention is worth the risk to my life as I was very much looking forward to the Convention. Many others of American Legion are canceling due to high risk of being shot and/or killed.

I would very much appreciate your thoughts as you grew up there. No doubt , is a terrible shame to see a great City, Baltimore, go down due to liberal Democrats being in charge for the past 4 decades

Keep the Faith, Brother”

My reply . . . “Hey Brother, You are wise for staying away from sin city (Baltimore). Baltimore police are reluctant to do their job for fear of being arrested. Clearly, the mayor is allowing the inmates to run the asylum. The only thing the vile local Democrat government cares about is protecting their liberal narrative. Baltimore's mayor considers lives and businesses acceptable collateral damage. It is shameful and evil. God bless, Lloyd”

My wife Mary said perhaps Baltimore will come to it's senses upon realizing the financial consequences (at least $20 million) of allowing the thugs to wreak havoc.  I said to her, you are mistaken oh wise and beautiful one. The liberal zealots running Baltimore do not give a rat's derriere about consequences financial or otherwise. All that matters is furthering their liberal socialist/progressive big government controlling everything and everyone agenda. If Leftists are nothing else, they are persistent, patient and unshakably focused on achieving their goals.

For crying out loud, the Baltimore Prosecutor Marilyn Mosby is running around acting like an anti-police pit bull, giving speeches in churches to rally the black community against the police. Dear Lord what evil has overtaken my former home town? What has so emboldened Leftist Democrats to dismiss all pretense of fairness and legality, openly displaying their liberal bias and intentions?

Before I moved to Florida fifteen years ago, Baltimore was promoted as “Charm City”. I received a citation from former Mayor Kurt Schmoke for the song I wrote about my beloved city. A CD of my song “Hello Baltimore” was included in the city's Bicentennial time capsule.

Visiting Baltimore five years after I moved, a black Baltimore cop friend told me crime had gotten much worse. He said metal detectors were installed in public schools and almost every black nightclub. This does not support the Left's claim that cops are the problem.

My brother said his white girlfriend won tickets for a show at the famous Hippodrome theater. The riots made her afraid to venture to downtown Baltimore. My brother dropped her and a female friend off at the theater door and picked them up immediately after the show.

Folks, there is a pony hidden in the pile of excrement which is Baltimore politics. The dire consequences of full blown liberalism are exposed for all the world to see.

Here's a music video of my song “Hello Baltimore” illustrating my hometown then and now.

Eight times more likely to commit crime

Eight times more likely than whites by Donald Joy at Clash Daily.com

The lies just keep on piling up. Largely because a drugged-out, giant black thug robbed a store and tried to murder a white police officer, losing his own life in the process instead, the full force of our modern black-supremacist government has descended on an already beleaguered police department in America’s heartland.

The gestapo agents of Eric Holder and Barack Obama have formally concocted an official, bogus narrative which is obviously designed to help Black Grievance Industry attorneys win huge civil settlements on behalf of Michael Brown’s family, seeing as they completely failed to turn their shameless race-hoax into a criminal case against officer Darren Wilson.

Fresh from their federal witch-hunt in Ferguson, the anti-white shakedown scam enforcers want you to believe the predominantly white police department there is exceptionally racist and corrupt because of a few emailed jokes, and because blacks are stopped, cited, and arrested in higher numbers, slightly disproportionate to their local representation, compared to whites.

What they purposely fail to include in their dishonest report is that according to Eric Holder’s own Justice Department/FBI statistics, minimally mentioned even on CNN, blacks are actually 8 times more likely to commit crime than whites.

So the real tale of the Ferguson police department, and of law enforcement all over the country, is that blacks are, in reality, stopped, cited, and arrested nowhere near as much as they really should be!

Remembering Selma and ignoring black violence

From the Warning Signs of Alan Caruba at Facts-not-Fantasy

Know Caruba's Warning Signs at Facts-not-Fantasy
The pat answer for black complaints about events these days is “white racism.” One rarely, if ever, reads or hears anything about black racism, but if you ask, many blacks will acknowledge it.

As the 50th anniversary of the Selma, Alabama confrontation was recalled, there was little mention of a multitude of black violence events that continue to either go unreported or reported to reflect “white racism” even when it is not a factor.

In 2013, Colin Flaherty published “White Girl Bleed a Lot: The Return of Racial Violence to America and How the Media Ignore It.” His new book, “Don’t Make the Black Kids Angry: The Hoax of Black Victimization and How We Enable It” was published in February. It picks up from where the first book left off, filled with hundreds of stories of black-on-white violence that, as often as not, did not receive much attention.

Available on Amazon
By contrast, when a black youth is killed as in the cases of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown, the media ignored the violence that led to it. The Department of Justice (DOJ) and local investigations found that both killings were self-defense. Even questions of whether the youth’s civil rights were abused found that they were not.

In early March an 86-page DOJ report about the shooting of Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, confirmed that Darren Wilson, a white police officer, acted in self-defense. Also in February, a DOJ report exonerated George Zimmerman, a white man, for shooting Martin. When a case was brought against him in Florida in July 2013, the jury acquitted him.

The most recent case is the shooting on Saturday, March 7, of Tony Robinson in Madison, Wisconsin. The 19-year-old black youth was shot as the result of an altercation with a white police officer. News reports stressed Robinson was “unarmed”, but downplayed the fact that the veteran officer had been struck in the head and knocked down. Also largely unreported was that Robinson had pled guilty last year to armed robbery and was serving a three-year probation term.

At what point do we begin to ask why black youths are behaving in this fashion toward police officers? Theirs is a culture in serious trouble.

As someone who spent years in the South when “Jim Crow” laws were still in effect I had an understanding of how and why the civil rights movement began in earnest in the late 1950s and gained momentum throughout the 1960s. In 1964 Congress passed a Civil Rights Act and in 1965 it passed the Voting Rights Act. Naively, I and lots of others, white and black, thought it would resolve many of the problems that had afflicted blacks.

A half century since then, however, Flaherty’s new book documents the racially-based animosity that exists throughout elements of America’s black population and how it demonstrates itself in acts of violence. The accounts are often shocking.

“Black crime and violence against whites, gays, women, seniors, young people and lots of others is astronomically out of proportion,” says Flaherty in his new book, following up that assertion with 500 pages of events and pages of detailed endnotes.

A professional journalist, Flaherty opined that “In 2013 more and more people began to figure out that the traditional excuses—jobs, poverty, schooling, whatever—for black crime and mayhem were not really working anymore.”

“Now they have a new excuse. The ultimate excuse: White racism is everywhere. White racism is permanent. White racism explains everything.”

The perception of racial issues in America says Flaherty, involves “A new generation of black leaders and white enablers (who) want to remove black violence from the table and focus on the Big Lie: The war on Black People and how racist white people are waging it. All the time. Everywhere. When just the opposite is true.”

Flaherty’s book documents “black resentment, black hostility, and black racial consciousness that permeates every part of black media, black churches, black families, and black schooling.” Sadly, this also manifests itself as black-on-black violence.

That hostility has also been witnessed in the acts and words of America’s first black President and his black Attorney General. How did Barack Obama get elected and reelected if “white racism” is so widespread?

President Barack Hussein Obama and Al Sharpton
As Flaherty noted, “The President got in on the act in 2014 when he told the Congressional Black Caucus about a ‘justice gap.’ Where ‘too many young men of color feel targeted by law enforcement. Guilty of walking while black. Driving while black. Judged by stereotypes that fuel fear and resentment and hopelessness.’”

Race has played a role in American history from the day when the first indentured African was brought here in 1654, up to and after the Civil War that was fought to end the slave trade, and through to current times when, based on all the laws that have been passed to protect everyone’s civil rights, one might think that the problems associated with race would have been resolved.

The problems haven’t been resolved because too much animosity exists and, too frequently, as Flaherty documents, it is black animosity toward whites.

Most people, white and black, wish this would end.

Ferguson: Activists upset over looting videos

After tacitly condoning Ferguson looting, activists now upset about video showing actual looting by Michele Hickford, Editor-in-Chief at Allen B. West.com

Recently released by local police in Missouri, this surveillance video shows an astonishing use of force by young looters, taking out their frustrations on a market in the city of Dellwood near Ferguson in November after the Grand Jury declined to indict Officer Darren Wilson.

After unsuccessfully breaking down the door, they simply take down the adjacent wall, and the phalanx of looters streams inside.

Police said they released the video in the hope that citizens might help investigators identify the more than 180 looters who vandalized the building.

However, despite fanning the flames of violence and looting, Eric Holder’s Department of Justice Civil Rights Division is unlikely to bring charges against Officer Darren Wilson after conducting a thorough investigation into the claim that he had violated Michael Brown’s civil rights.

As Hot Air reports, “this comes after Attorney General Eric Holder traveled to Missouri and told anguished local residents that he believed racial antipathy played a role in the drama that played out in that town last year.”

“The investigation into Wilson is slated to come to an end in the spring, and Holder will likely reveal that the Feds found no evidence sufficient to charge Wilson with a civil rights crime before he leaves his post. It will be a familiar scene.

Activists were deeply wounded when the DOJ failed to find sufficient evidence to charge George Zimmerman with having violated Trayvon Martin’s civil rights or even that he harbored racially insensitive sentiments.”

In both of these high profile, supposed examples of racially motivated violence against black men, activists simply can’t handle the truth.

But activists would prefer the particular truth in this video stayed hidden.

About the release of the video, Atlanta Black Star columnist Nick Chiles wrote “It’s a dramatic illustration of law enforcement attempting to subvert the emerging narrative of black youth energized and engaged, flooding the streets of this country in demonstrative displays of their anger.”

Black youth energized and engaged is a great thing. But abject lawlessness does nothing to help the cause, battle prejudice or engender sympathy.

Sheriff to Sharpton: Crawl back in your gutter

David Clarke, Wisconsin sheriff: ‘Al Sharpton ought to go back into the gutter he came from’by Cheryl K. Chumley at The Washington Times

Go Back to the Gutter You Came From Says Clarke
Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke didn’t pull any punches in his assessment of the Reverand Al Sharpton — who vowed to keep fighting for justice for slain Ferguson teen Michael Brown, despite the feds’ decision to drop a civil rights investigation — and characterized him on national television as less than intelligent and unworthy of respect.

“The grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri, got it right,” Sheriff Clarke said, during an appearance on “Fox and Friends.”

Sheriff Clarke then directed anger at Mr. Sharpton, who spoke sharply in the wake of Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision not to prosecute Mr. Wilson, a former police officer, on civil rights charges.

“I don’t expect anything intelligent to come out of the mouth of Al Sharpton,” Sheriff Clarke said, Mediaite reported. “We know he is a charlatan. Al Sharpton ought to go back into the gutter he came from . . . . more

Of course it is racism

Of course it is racism from the files of Judson Phillips, Founder of the Tea Party Nation

Visit the Tea Party Nation Website and Sign Up for Emailed Stories Free

Want to get out of any form of bad behavior? Now, all you have to do is play the racism card.

Of course sometimes the race card back fires.

From NBC:
A passenger's loud singing and references to Ferguson, Missouri, was behind Thursday's diversion of a Los Angeles-bound jet, officials said in their report of the incident.

Delta Flight 81, traveling from Atlanta to Los Angeles, made the unscheduled stop at Albuquerque International Sunport just after 6 p.m. Thursday so that a first-class passenger could be removed from the plane, in what a passenger said was described as a "security issue."

An incident report shows that issue was a 27-year-old Wichita man's singing aloud to music playing from his headphones, which bothered other passengers.
When he was asked by another passenger and later a flight attendant to stop, the passenger "made references to the recent Ferguson Missouri incident" and "also stated he was being harassed because he was black," according to an incident report released by airport police.
The upset and crying passenger went to the restroom several times "and it became a concern to the flight crew" and prompted the diversion, aviation police said in their report.

The passenger was not charged but was not allowed back on the flight. He caught a flight to Los Angeles Friday morning, police said. He never made any direct threats, passengers interviewed by police said.
This story reflects something much worse in American culture. Respect and courtesy for fellow Americans is gone. A generation ago, if someone was doing something was disturbing a neighbor on a flight, there would be an apology and a reasonable accommodation.

Unfortunately this decline is a sign of the decline of our civilization. Common courtesy is the lubricant that keeps our society functioning.

But now a significant part of America thinks the rules no longer apply to them. A significant part of American now believes they are privileged and other parts of society simply have to put up with them.

That does not bode well for the future of this nation.

Dealing with disruptive protestors

Finally, the sane approach to dealing with Ferguson protesters from the files of Judson Phillips, Founder of the Tea Party Nation

Meet Judson Phillips, Tea Part Nation
In the last few weeks, there have been numerous protests over the justifiable homicide of robber and criminal Michael Brown and the death of criminal Eric Garner.

Many of these protesters have decided a great way to protest is to go to malls and shopping centers so they can have a “die in.” The “die in” is just their way of screwing up the lives of real Americans who want to do their Christmas shopping.

Unfortunately many cities and many shopping malls have simply decided to tolerate the disruption, lest they offend the mob and the mob starts rioting.

One jurisdiction has decided differently. Perhaps the most amazing part of the story is where this is happening.

From WCCO:
In the next few days, the Bloomington City Attorney Sandra Johnson expects to file criminal charges against the organizers of Saturday’s protest at Mall of America.

The mall went into a partial shutdown for about two hours as thousands of protesters filled the rotunda on one of the busiest shopping days of the year. The group, “Black Lives Matter” chose the mall for its high visibility, but was warned repeatedly that it was private property.

Mall officials are reportedly gathering estimates of how much money the stores lost on Saturday.

Combined with the amount of overtime put in by police, Johnson said the numbers will be “staggering,” and she wants the protest organizers to pay.

The moment the chanting started Saturday, officers locked down about 80 stores and several mall entrances. In and around the rotunda, business came to a halt for about two hours.

Nate Bash works at one store near the rotunda, which he didn’t want us to name.

“You had people yelling and screaming inside the mall that wanted out and you had people yelling and screaming outside the mall that wanted in,” he said. “I would say the mall was less than half as busy as it should have been considering what day it was.”

“This was a powder keg just waiting for a match,” said Johnson.

The City Attorney is now building criminal cases against the protest organizers. She said she’ll try to get restitution for money lost by the mall, the city and police agencies that came from as far away as Hastings and Red Wing.

“The main perpetrators are those who continued on their Facebook site to invite people illegally to the Mall of America,” she said.
Good for this prosecutor! It is about time someone stood up to these thugs.

Compare that to the not so bright police chief in Nashville who refused to arrest “protesters” who shut down one of the cities Interstate highways and offered the “protesters” hot chocolate. When the protesters decided to disrupt one of the larger malls and shopping areas, he kindly blocked the roads so the “protesters” could have their temper tantrums. In his idiotic mind, the rights of the protesters trump the rights of real Americans who simply want to go on about their lives.

But good for Minnesota.

This is an example that should be followed in other jurisdictions. A lot of good things could come from this, including saving police lives.

What have these two got in common?

What do the late Michael Brown and the living Harry Reid have in common? from the files of Colonel Allen B. West

Meet Colonel Allen B. West
A few days ago, I wrote about the consequences of individual decisions as they related to the events in Ferguson, Missouri; Staten Island and Brooklyn, New York and Missoula, Montana. It seems that in our civil society, we no longer place any responsibility or accountability on the person who makes decisions — realizing that there can be adverse consequences to bad ones.

But this issue isn’t just playing out on the mean streets of America, it’s on Capitol Hill as well.

You see, awhile back, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid made decisions about the procedural operations of the Senate for which he may now reap the consequences — or will he?

As reported by the Washington Examiner, “Senate Republicans, who condemned a Democratic decision last year to require only 51 votes to confirm judicial and executive branch nominees, are struggling to decide whether to reverse the so-called “nuclear option” or leave it in place when they take the majority in January.”

“The rules change lowered the threshold for judges and President Obama’s executive branch appointees from 60 votes to 51 votes. Democrats invoked the change with a simple majority vote rather than a typically required supermajority, infuriating Republicans, who promised the Democrats would “pay a heavy price” for the move. But with the majority just weeks away from their grasp, the Republicans are “soul searching” about whether to change it back.”

Yep, the Democrats did pay a heavy price, with the largest GOP House majority in quite sometime and a large swing in the Senate – as a matter of fact, 30 Democrat Senators who voted for Obamacare are now no longer in the upper chamber of our federal legislative branch.

And I recall two statements from President Obama early in 2009 after his victory: “elections have consequences” (yes they do) and “I won” (not this time, my friend).

So will there be consequences for the Democrats in losing — after all we’ve already seen the intransigence from President Obama, while Reid has vowed to be an obstructionist for the GOP Senate majority — kinda like those 367 pieces of legislation passed in the House that sit on his desk? Or the fact that the Senate under his purview this year did not pass a single appropriations bill — there are only 12, one per month.

So here is the interesting dilemma – or perhaps not. Should the new GOP Senate majority maintain the simple majority rule, as unilaterally changed by Reid for partisan political gain? Or should the GOP play nice and change it back allowing the Democrats in the Senate to resemble that pesky mosquito that buzzes your head while you’re trying to sleep on a hot, humid summer night? (And being from the South, I don’t like mosquitoes).

Should the Democrats be forced to live under the consequences of their decision — as if they read their own liberal progressive press and didn’t believe there would EVER be a GOP Senate majority?

My assessment is that Reid — along with Obama — decided to change the filibuster rule, a time-honored tradition in the senior deliberative body to protect the minority — believing they could have their way and IF the GOP would win the Senate they’d live up to a higher standard — unlike progressive socialists — and change it back. Therefore, no consequences for what the Senate Democrats did and they’d then force the new GOP majority to clear the 60-vote threshold.

Here is clear evidence of Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals Number 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this, because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)”

So you can bet Democrats expect the GOP to change the rule back after their abuse.

Senate Majority Leader West would leave it exactly as it is. Leave it as Harry Reid decided and make the Senate Democrats live under their action. I wouldn’t fall into the Democrats’ predictable trap, who based everything on their own nefarious nature in opposition to the GOP benevolent nature — living up to a self-imposed rule.

Actions and decisions have consequences and that is the lesson to be learned. And consider this, what would the liberal progressive media and the DC liberal pundits say? They were the ones so silent when Harry Reid did what he did – as a matter of fact, I could bet they were cheering and laughing.

While they were in the majority, the rights of the minority party were meaningless. It’s kinda like a “Golden Rule” in reverse — do back unto others as they have so done unto you. And how would Harry Reid or any Senate Democrats be able to say a single word in opposition? After all, they’re simply submitting to the rule he changed….unless at the last minute before the end of this terms Reid changes cit back. And I wouldn’t put that bit of chicanery past him.

So what is the forecast within the GOP Senate conference?

The Washington Examiner says, “meeting behind closed doors Tuesday with soon-to-be Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., most members appeared undecided about what to do, although a few have come out strongly in favor of or against reversing the rules change.

“There’s a careful and robust discussion but it’s still ongoing and no decisions have been made,” Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said Tuesday evening as he left McConnell’s suite of offices in the Capitol. Republicans don’t really benefit by leaving the rule in place in the short term, since Obama remains in the White House for the next two years.

That could all change, however, if a Republican wins the White House in two years and the GOP keeps its majority in 2016. Then it would be much easier to confirm GOP nominees with 51 votes, much the way it worked for Democrats this year, who are on target to confirm a near-record number of judges as well as many controversial executive branch nominees who otherwise would have been blocked by the 60-vote threshold.”

So I say leave it in place as a simple 51-vote majority. “I would not have invoked the nuclear option,” Cruz said. “I think it was a mistake. But, once it’s done, I don’t think we should go back. I don’t think there should be one rule for Democrats, and one rule for Republicans.”

The Examiner says, “some Republican lawmakers reason that if they undo the Democrats’ nuclear option and return to the 60-vote threshold, Democrats will simply reinstate it the next time they are in the majority.

“They would be crazy to reinstate the judicial filibuster, because as soon as the Democrats get the majority again, they’ll get rid of it again,” said Roger Pilon, director of the Center for Constitutional Studies at the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank.

In the future the progressive socialists won’t be able to complain — they will anyway — because they were the ones who changed the rule and there shouldn’t be rules for Democrats and rules for Republicans, just one standard.

Harry Reid has established that standard. Elections, as well as actions, do indeed have consequences.

Hey fu*king idiots - quit killing each other

Here's the lessons from Ferguson America from the Facebook Site of Ted Nugent

Like and Share Comments Available and Posted on Facebook

Don't let your kids grow up to be thugs who think they can steal, assault and attack cops as a way of life as a badge of black (dis)honor.

Don't preach your racist bullshit "no justice no peace" as blabbered by Obama's racist Czar Al 'Not So' Sharpton and their black Klansman.

When a cop tells you to get out of the middle of the street, obey him and don't attack him as brainwashed by the gangsta assholes you hang with and look up to.

It's that simple unless you have no brains, no soul, no sense of decency whatsoever.

And don't claim that "black lives matter" when you ignore the millions you abort and slaughter each and every day by other blacks.

Those of us with a soul do indeed believe black lives matter, as all lives matter.

So quit killin' each other you fuckin' idiots

F*ck Whitey - Kill all white people

St. Louis area: Black and Hispanic teens brutally murdered Zemir Begic bludgeoning him with hammers . . . Never made the MSM

__________________________________________________________

Zemir and Wife Arijana Married 6 Months
Bosnian immigrant Zemir Begic in St. Louis features a local resident revealing how blacks had chanted “fuck the white people, kill the white people” before the brutal hammer attack which took Begic’s life.

With the mainstream media seemingly keen to keep a lid on whether or not the murder was racially motivated and linked to the Ferguson riots, this new eyewitness account is nothing less than explosive.

Begic was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning when a gang armed with hammers attacked his vehicle and then set upon the Bosnian as he tried to confront them.

Police insisted the attack was not racially motivated, while Begic’s family and other Bosnian immigrants who turned up to protest the slaying asserted otherwise. Two suspects were taken into custody, while two others, a black teen and a Hispanic teen, are still on the loose.

The film clip shows a local resident filming the scene from a distance as emergency personnel attempt to give Begic CPR.

“Arrest them all, fuck this shit,” states the resident adding, “And, of course, it’s a white kid, right after black people are running up and down the street yelling, ‘Fuck the white people, kill the white people.’

White people ready to commit race suicide

Black professor says “white people are ready to commit race suicide” [VIDEO] from the files of Colonel Allen B. West

I was recently on the campus of Cornell University to speak about national security issues on the 21st century battlefield, especially the Middle East. It was humbling to be on that historic Ivy League campus.

Of course I’d heard all the chatter about the possibility of interruptions, but guess what? It was a respectful and great session. But I’m scratching my head right now after reading about a certain Cornell University Professor named Russell Rickford.

As reported by the Daily Caller, “Russell Rickford, an assistant history professor at Cornell University, urged white students to commit “race suicide” on Wednesday night in response to the death of Michael Brown and the recent riots in Ferguson, Mo.”

“The event at which Rickford spoke was called “Ferguson: The Next Steps,” according to Campus Reform. A staffer for The Cornell Review, the Ivy League school’s conservative student rag, recorded the event. The Ivy League professor suggested that “treason to whiteness” is a necessary step to salvage humanity.

“There’s still a slender minority of white folks, a very slender, but a slender minority of white folks, that are ready to commit race suicide,” Rickford told the audience, near the end of his remarks. “Which is to say, they are ready to reject corrupt skin privileges. They’re ready to perform treason to whiteness, as an expression of their loyalty to humanity.”

I recently penned a piece entitled “The Redefinition of America” and I alluded to a far away room where some folks meet to redefine language in our country. So in light of that piece, I just have to ask — what in the heck is “perform treason to whiteness?”

This is why some parents get concerned about the college to which their children are sent. Here we have a university professor who has no explanation for the consequences of the actions of Michael Brown, but rather suggests that white people commit race suicide — ‘splain that one to me please?

Instead of teaching and preparing our young people to be successful productive citizens — the good professor wishes students — and I guess some whites, to do what? Reject themselves for the sake of some “loyalty to humanity?” And just how is that defined?

Herein lies the problem with higher education today. We are sending our children to these schools for an education — not indoctrination. And furthermore, thousands of dollars in student financial aid is being provided for what? This is what they “learn” — only to graduate and return to Mom and Dad’s and work at Starbucks?

And as if the previous words of Professor Rickford were confusing enough, these words truly prove incendiary and promote a false narrative. The Daily Caller says “Rickford, who grew up in Palo Alto, Calif., also suggested that the police are “mercenaries for the corporations and the rich” and go out of their way to kill black people.”

These collective statements do not serve to engender an atmosphere of respect for our law enforcement officers – as a matter of fact, it puts an even greater target on them. I know many police officers, my own older brother was an Atlanta police officer and detective. None that I know are “mercenaries” for anyone. They are servants to the public who risk their lives to provide safety and security to the populace.

The words of Professor Rickford remind me of another time when the liberal progressive leftists verbally — and sometimes physically — attacked our men and women in uniform returning from Vietnam, referring to them as “baby killers.” It seems the Sixties radicals have been resurrected and the echoes of “kill the pigs” are returning.

So does Professor Rickford believe the police live to serve only George Soros, Tom Steyer, the cultural and entertainment elites like Gwyneth Paltrow — or just how does he define rich and corporate?

And if this misguided professor seems to believe that police officers go out of their way to kill black people — then what explanation does he have for the black people that actually ARE killing black people at alarming rates — far more than police are shooting blacks, which are down.

Professor Rickford asserts, “We attempt to negotiate with a system that has demonstrated time and time again its utter disdain for the sanctity of black lives,” he pontificates at the 8:32 mark of the video. “Not only its disdain, but its deep commitment to the slaughtering of black and brown people.”

He alleges that black Americans are suffering from “genocide” and many black Americans are complicit in the act — I concur, and their names are Jackson, Sharpton, Morial among others. “The petite bourgeoisie, including black and brown folks stands [sic] on the sidelines mumbling, asking white supremacy to please crack fewer hits,” he bloviates. And even more interesting Dr. Rickford, who earned his graduate degree from Columbia University, once claimed, “Martin Luther King, Jr. Day was a tool of the far-right imperialists to appease people.”

Well, one thing is for certain, Rahm Emanuel was correct — “never let a good crisis go to waste” — and the progressive socialist left is going to milk this for what it is worth.

So much for that “post-racial” America after the election and reelection of the first black president. Black lives do matter –but apparently only those who support a specified political agenda.

Protesting law and order

Protesting Law and Order from the Warning Signs by Alan Caruba at Facts-not-Fantasy

Know the Warning Signs from Caruba at Facts-not-Fantasy

I doubt there was ever a time in America, pre-Revolution and since, that race was not an issue. It was for the framers of the Constitution who, in order to get the southern colonies to accept it, included in Article Two that, for the purpose of taxation, slaves were to be identified as only “three-fifths” of being a person. In Section 9, it was agreed that the issue of slavery was not to be addressed until 1808, but “a tax or duty may be imposed on such importation, not exceeding ten dollars for each person.”

Protesting something, anything, is as American as the flag. After fighting a Revolution for six years to rid themselves of a British monarch and his control of the colonies, Americans embraced the right to protest as part of their definition of liberty and freedom. By 1861 the protests against slavery had so divided the nation a Civil War had to be fought. In 1870, the 15th Amendment enfranchised former slaves with the right to vote, but Congress would wait until 1920 to extend the same right to women!

Having lived through the Civil Rights movement in the 1960s, the assassinations of President Kennedy, his brother Robert who was the Attorney General, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I concluded that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 had “solved” the issues that had afflicted blacks in America. I was wrong.

The protests that occurred in the wake of grand jury decisions not to indict a police officer who shot Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, or another group of police officers whose arrest of Eric Garner led to his death in Staten Island, New York are different only because they swiftly went from local to national. The initial Ferguson protests immediately descended into looting and arson. The Garner protests attracted large crowds that disrupted traffic and interfered with consumers in some shopping outlets. It seems to have gone unnoticed that large numbers of those in the latter protests were white.

The protests were magnified by the involvement of the President and the Attorney General who, while urging that violence be avoided, told the protesters to “stay the course.” Had either Michael Brown or Eric Garner obeyed the law, they would be alive. Brown had committed a robbery just prior to his attack on Officer Darren Wilson and Garner had a long history of arrests and was engaged in a minor offense of selling cigarettes.

With the exception of those who joined the protests, white America is deeply at odds with black America. There are serious differences that include issues involving crime rates, school dropout rates, numbers of illegitimate or aborted children, single parent families, and other comparable social differences between the two racial groups.

As the protests continued, Rasmussen Reports noted that “Many had high hopes that the election of the nation’s first black President would help heal our racial wounds, but just eight percent (8%) think race relations in America are better since Barack Obama become President in 2009. That’s something that blacks, whites, and other minority Americans agree on.” Put another way, ninety-two (92%) agree there has been no improvement in race relations.

The division between the way white and black Americans view the nation is quite dramatic. Rasmussen found that “while 54% of whites think the U.S. justice system is fair to blacks, 84% of black voters consider the justice system unfair to them.” The protests are no doubt rooted in the finding that “eighty-two percent (82%) of black voters think most black Americans receive unfair treatment from the police. White voters by a 56% to 30% margin don’t believe that’s true.”

Need it be said that Rasmussen found that “Black voters also continue to overwhelmingly approve of the job Obama is doing as President, while most whites disapprove.” The irony of this is reflected in the numbers of blacks who are school dropouts, unemployed or in our nation’s prisons. Obama’s six years in office have not demonstrated much improvement in the lives of many black Americans.

The results of the midterm elections are testimony that voters want “change” that is very different from Obama’s promised “transformation” of America. They have run out of the “hope” he promised when elected.

Rasmussen reports that “Nearly half of voters want Congress to stop the President’s new plan to protect up to five million illegal immigrants from deportation. Americans rate their citizenship highly and aren’t keen on putting many of those here illegally on the path to citizenship” and “many voters expect the new Republican Congress to repeal Obamacare.”

I don’t expect race relations in America to improve much so long as black Americans who comprise 13% of the population continue to demand something different from “equal justice” when decisions are rendered with which they disagree. Marching for “justice” ignores the fact that we have a very good justice and law enforcement system in America.

I worry that too many Americans fail to respect the police who put their lives on the line to protect them. They are not the enemy. The criminals are.

Being black or a member of any minority comes with the option to regard oneself as a victim, but those who stay in school, get a job, work hard, get married, and raise a family are not victims.

They are proof that the American dream is real and can be achieved.

Hammer killing not racially motivated - Really?

Fatal St. Louis hammer attack not racially motivated. Really? from the files of Colonel Allen B. West

Bosnian Community Protests in St. Louis
Why is everyone rushing immediately to claim the beating to death of a Bosnian immigrant has nothing to do with race?

As reported by Fox News, “Insistence by St. Louis officials that the beating death of a Bosnian man was not a hate crime is being met with skepticism and anger, according to leaders of the city’s 70,000-strong Bosnian community, and the victim’s brother is calling on authorities to “investigate every possible motive.”

Of course the attack had nothing to do with Mr. Begic being of Bosnian descent. Those teenagers probably couldn’t locate Bosnia on a map if their lives depended on it. He’s clearly a white guy. But why the excuse? The hypocrisy is so very glaringly obvious.

“Zemir Begic, a 32-year-old man who emigrated from war-torn Bosnia almost two decades ago in search of a better life, was bludgeoned to death Sunday, allegedly by a group of hammer-wielding teenagers, one of whom, Robert Mitchell, has been charged as an adult.

Begic was driving with his fiancee, Arijana Mujkanovic, and a male passenger at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday in St. Louis when five teenagers began pounding his vehicle with a hammer, according to police.

When Begic confronted them, he was struck in the mouth, face, head and body with hammers and died at a nearby hospital.”

“The St. Louis Police Department and Mayor Francis Slay are insisting Begic’s death, allegedly at the hands of black and Latino teenagers, was not based on racial or ethnic hate.

“Investigators do not believe the attack on Mr. Begic had any connection to him being of Bosnian descent,” St. Louis Police spokeswoman Schron Jackson said in a statement.

In subsequent emails, Jackson made clear:
“Investigators don’t believe the incident is in any way related to Ferguson” and “The incident is not being investigated as a hate crime.”
Well then, what was it?

Mike Ditka: Embarrassed for the Rams

Mike Ditka: The shame of the Rams and Ferguson

Coach Mike Ditka
In an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times, the former Bears and Hall of Fame coach, Mike Ditka, noted sympathy for everything that has taken place in Ferguson. However, he said doesn't understand what the players' accomplished by displaying the "hands up, don't shoot" gesture.

"The shame of it is, I’m not sure they (the Rams football team) care about Michael Brown or anything else. This was a reason to protest and to go out and loot. Is this the way to celebrate the memory of Michael Brown?

Is this an excuse to be lawless? Somebody has to tell me that," said Ditka.

"I don’t understand it. I understand what the Rams’ take on this was. I’m embarrassed for the players more than anything.

They want to take a political stand on this? Well, there are a lot of other things that have happened in our society that people have not stood up and disagreed about."

"What do you do if someone pulls a gun on you or is robbing a store and you stop them? I don’t want to hear about this hands-up crap. That’s not what happened.

I don’t know exactly what did happen, but I know that’s not what happened.

This policeman’s life is ruined. Why? Because we have to break somebody down. Because we have to even out the game. I don’t know. I don’t get it. Maybe I’m just old fashioned," concluded Ditka.

Ferguson: DNC community organizing operation

Ferguson Missouri is a DNC Community Organizing Operation from the files of JB Williams

Obama the Community Organizer
No media outlet in America wants to report the full unfettered truth about the Ferguson Missouri riots over the death of Michael Brown, because they would be lynching the Obama administration and the Democrat Party if they did…

The case facts that caused the Missouri Grand Jury to forgo any criminal charges against Officer Darren Wilson have gone largely unreported by the American news media.

That fact makes the news media directly complicit in politically motivated efforts to distort the truth and incite further violence and riots.

The known facts in the Brown case are as follows [Click Here]

Teens kill immigrant with hammers

Blacks screanmed "Fuck the White People - Kill the White People" before the brutal murder of Zemir Begic appearing at InfoWars.com

“Arrest them all, fuck this shit,” he states, adding, “And, of course, it’s a white kid, right after black people running up and down the street yelling, ‘Fuck the white people, kill the white people.’

Protesting their protectors

Protesting Their Protectors from Warning Signs by Alan Caruba at Facts-not-Fantasy

Know Caruba's Warning Signs at Facts-not-Fantasy
When you get right down to it, the protests said to be about the shooting of Michael Brown are really about how differently the black and white communities view the police. Blacks may want and need protection, but they don’t have the level of confidence in the police that whites express.

That protection occasionally includes having to shoot those who threaten the lives of police officers. If the Ferguson and other city protests are against that they are as irrational as the burning down of the Brown family’s church.

What we are witnessing is a rejection of the rule of law and those who put their lives on the line to protect society.

The President got involved, predictably urging that violence be avoided, but also saying that the protesters should “stay the course.”

Here is an excerpt from The New York Times:
“Some of the national leaders met with President Obama on Nov. 5 for a gathering that included a conversation about Ferguson.

According to the Rev. Al Sharpton, who has appeared frequently in St. Louis with the Brown family and delivered a speech at Mr. Brown’s funeral, Mr. Obama “was concerned about Ferguson staying on course in terms of pursuing what it was that he knew we were advocating. He said he hopes that we’re doing all we can to keep peace.”

Protest leaders said wholesale change was ultimately what they were demanding, though not all agreed on what that meant. Some called for the removal of the Ferguson police chief or the entire department. Others said they want the police to wear cameras; civilian review boards for all police shootings; or a requirement that ethnic and racial makeup of police departments match the communities they serve.

“It must be changing how police and citizens relate to one another,” said Michael T. McPhearson, the co-chairman of the Don’t Shoot Coalition. “We’re calling for police accountability, police transparency, changing how the police do their work. If there’s an indictment or if there’s not an indictment, we still have that work to do.”
As reported by the Times, according to the black community leaders the problem was the police, not the community. In an appalling lack of judgment and prudence, The New York Times published the name of the street on which Officer Wilson lives! A Twitter user published what he claimed was the address and a photo of his home.

As far as the media was concerned the story was about police officer Wilson, not Michael Brown or the protesters, except insofar as they provided dramatic video. The story became a repeat of charges against police of “racial profiling” and other actions resulting from just doing their job.

As we know, lots of the violence took the form of looting and destruction of Ferguson businesses occurring before and since the grand jury decision. What has surprised many observers was the way neither the Missouri National Guard, called out by the Governor, nor other police authorities engaged the “protester’s” criminal behavior, arresting few while concentrating on protecting the court house and police headquarters. One of the dramatic forms of protest was to burn police cars.

I recall an event involving President Obama and a police officer when, on July 16, 2009, Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., an African-American, was arrested at his Cambridge, Massachusetts home by a local police officer responding to a 911 caller’s report that men were breaking into and entering the residence.

As the facts came out, professor Gates had returned home from a trip to China and found the front door jammed shut. With the help of his driver, they tried to force it open. When the police officer, James Crowley, showed up responding that what well could be a crime in progress, Gates was less than cooperative and charged with disorderly conduct.

The charges were dropped, but the event invoked a national debate about “racial profiling” by police. On July 22, President Obama commented on the incident, criticizing the arrest and Officer Crowley’s actions. The national response was a massive rejection of the President’s comment and, two days later, a photo op was staged at the White House where both Officer Crowley and professor Gates were seen with the President enjoying a beer together.

Indeed, it became known as the “Beer Summit”; all because of Obama’s assumption that racial profiling, not the actual facts of the event, was the reason Gates was charged.

Who doesn’t like the police? People who tend to get questioned by them and who get arrested by them. Many of those people are black because a significant amount of crime in America is perpetrated by blacks and a significant percentage of those incarcerated in our prisons are black. Who have been their victims? As often as not, other blacks.

As John Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center, noted in a Daily Caller.com commentary, “The average black person is 6.5 times more likely to be murdered than the average white person. Over nine out of every ten black people who were murdered were murdered by other black people.” And many were young men like Michael Brown. The slaughter in cities like Chicago, Detroit, and St. Louis is commonplace and appalling.

As the facts of the Brown shooting came out most whites concluded that Brown was a thug and, indeed, a large one at six feet, four inches and weighing in at over 300 pounds. The “gentle giant” was caught on video threatening a store employee after stealing some cigarillos. Even though he was “unarmed”, a fact repeated in every story, the grand jury concluded that he had attacked Officer Wilson who then had acted in self-defense.

I do not want to appear to condemn “all” blacks because to do so would be idiotic. The criticism here is directed at cultural values that are well established and documented, but that does not mean that “all” blacks share them. Many have achieved success since the days of the civil rights movement and one can only hope that many more blacks will join them, be lifted out of poverty and freed from poorly performing schools. One can hope the same for others as well.

In cities and towns where blacks are a significant part of the population they are likely to need more police protection than whites. And many of the police who provide that protection are white.

I guarantee you that the next time a black person feels threatened and calls the police they are not going to ask what race the officer is.
