Rudy Giuliani: A privileged cracker devil

From the files of Colonel Allen B. West and written by Michele Hickford, Editor-in-Chief

Meet Michele Hickford
While putting together this article about the blatant display of hypocrisy from the media over Rudy Giuliani’s temerity to question the patriotism of the Great and Powerful O (no, not Oprah), I came across this little tidbit from Louis Farrakhan.

Farrakhan holds nothing back in his criticism of Mayor Giuliani’s recent comments about Obama, saying Giuliani “grew up on the sweat and blood of black men and women who made America before your fathers got here” and calling him not just a “privileged cracker,” but a privileged “devil.”

Yep, we white folk will forever be punished for the sins of those who supported slavery in this country – even if our forebears were nowhere near this country when slavery existed – simply because we’re still white.

But back to the subject of dissent…

As Guy Benson writes for Townhall, “During the Bush years, we were often reminded, dissent was the “highest form of patriotism.” Over the course of Obama’s tenure, dissent became dangerous, disrespectful, un-American and quite possibly racist.”

Most definitely racist, as Rev. Farrakhan so passionately points out.

“When a conservative figure says something that seems to impugn or question a prominent liberal’s character or love of country – particularly a black liberal — “civility” SWAT teams are dispatched to knock down some proverbial doors. Such transgressions mustn’t stand.”

It doesn’t take a brain surgeon like Dr. Ben Carson to recognize that Republicans are forced to play by different rules, because the press tends to be made up of liberal Democrats and they enforce the rules. Unfortunately, Republicans continue to accept them.

Not all of course…

My boss, Col. Allen West, energetically refuses to follow the Liberal Civility Code of Conduct — for which he is routinely vilified.

Even new Internet star CJ Pearson has been called an “Uncle Tom” (and he’s only 12 years old by the way) for his video criticism of the president.

But many thanks to Guy Benson for providing this handy list of what IS permissible under the Liberal Civility Code of Conduct.
(1) White House spokespeople calling Republic suicide bombers, kidnappers and arsonists budget tactics.
(2) President Obama flatly stating that the GOP wants dirty air and water, and opposes people having healthcare.
(3) House Democratic leadership branding Obamacare critics “un-American.”
(4) Nancy Pelosi calling House Republicans “unpatriotic.”
(5) Lovely Debbie Wasserman Schultz chairwoman asserting that Republicans want to “literally” drag America back to the Jim Crow era.
(6) Less lovely Harry Reid sliming private citizens with whom he disagrees as “un-American.” I guess because they have the chutzpah to actually contribute to the United Negro College Fund. Of maybe it’s just racist. I don’t know.
(7) House Democrats comparing conservatives and Republicans to “demons,” “fascists,” generic Nazis (on several occasions), — and, of course, Hitler.
(8) Vice President Biden allegedly referring to the Tea Party’s “terrorist” tactics.
(9) The New York Times saying that the Tea Party Republicans have waged jihad on the American people.
With the deluge of horrific images courtesy of the ISIS production studios, I would hope comparisons to terror tactics and jihad will cease. But just in case, I’ll end with this photo comparison to assist liberals in telling the difference between the Tea Party and actual jihad.

Sheriff to Sharpton: Crawl back in your gutter

David Clarke, Wisconsin sheriff: ‘Al Sharpton ought to go back into the gutter he came from’by Cheryl K. Chumley at The Washington Times

Go Back to the Gutter You Came From Says Clarke
Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke didn’t pull any punches in his assessment of the Reverand Al Sharpton — who vowed to keep fighting for justice for slain Ferguson teen Michael Brown, despite the feds’ decision to drop a civil rights investigation — and characterized him on national television as less than intelligent and unworthy of respect.

“The grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri, got it right,” Sheriff Clarke said, during an appearance on “Fox and Friends.”

Sheriff Clarke then directed anger at Mr. Sharpton, who spoke sharply in the wake of Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision not to prosecute Mr. Wilson, a former police officer, on civil rights charges.

“I don’t expect anything intelligent to come out of the mouth of Al Sharpton,” Sheriff Clarke said, Mediaite reported. “We know he is a charlatan. Al Sharpton ought to go back into the gutter he came from . . . . more

White racism ~ all but vanished from US politics

White racism has all but vanished from US politics from the files of Jeff Jacoby at the Boston Globe

The temptation to play the race card is one that President Obama
and his surrogates have too often found irresistible
.

Think of Attorney General Eric Holder's claim last summer that criticism of the Obama administration is fueled by "racial animus," or Vice President Joe Biden's warning to a largely nonwhite audience in 2012 that Mitt Romney was "going to put y'all back in chains" if he won the White House.

Recall Obama himself, predicting that Republicans would demonize him because "he doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."

Yet there are also times when the president heeds the better angels of his nature, and declines to stoke racial resentments.

One such moment came during an interview last week, when NPR's Steve Inskeep asked Obama if the country is "more racially divided than it was when you took office six years ago." Without hesitating, the president answered candidly:
"No, I actually think that it's probably in its day-to-day interactions less racially divided."
There may be a perception to the contrary, he acknowledged, but that has more to do with the media-driven focus on particular events, "like Ferguson or the Garner case in New York."

Nor did he take the bait when Inskeep, raising "a couple of data points" that "suggest a broad gulf" between the races, contrasted Obama's overwhelming share of the black vote in his two presidential campaigns with the "rather dramatic" drop in the white Democratic vote.

Instead of endorsing Inskeep's inference that "political division between [the] races" is widening, Obama responded mildly that data can be spun to suggest anything. In reality, he noted, "when I was elected in '08, I actually did better among white voters … than John Kerry did."

In fact, Obama's share of the white electorate in 2008 not only surpassed Kerry's four years earlier, but Al Gore's in 2000, Bill Clinton's in 1992, Michael Dukakis's in 1988, Walter Mondale's in 1984, and Jimmy Carter's in 1980. The nomination of a black presidential candidate didn't send white voters fleeing from the Democratic Party — quite the contrary.

White racism, once such a powerful force in US politics, is now almost undetectable when Americans go to the polls. Good for the president, at least on this occasion, for not encouraging the myth that blacks don't get a fair shake on Election Day.

Indeed, for all the controversy over voter-ID requirements and other election-law reforms, black participation in the electoral process is more robust than ever. Accusations that such laws are motivated by a desire to suppress minority voting may be cynical or sincere, but if the proof of the pudding is in the turnout, the black franchise is perfectly sound.

"Voting rates for blacks were higher in 2012 than in any recent presidential election, the result of a steady increase in black voting rates since 1996," reported the US Census Bureau in 2013. What's more, with 66.2 percent of black voters casting ballots, turnout among blacks was the highest of any racial group, surpassing the voting rate among whites by 2.1 percentage points. If this is voter suppression, let's have more of it.

The Census Bureau reported in 2013 that black voter turnout was the highest for any racial
group in the US, "the result of a steady increase in black voting rates since 1996."

The Census Bureau reported in 2013 that black voter turnout was the highest for any racial group in the US, "the result of a steady increase in black voting rates since 1996." Black turnout has been rising everywhere, even in states dominated by Republicans. Jason Riley, author of the new book Please Stop Helping Us, observes that the trend "was most pronounced in red states like Alabama, Kentucky, and Mississippi," and that black voter turnout in 2012 surpassed white turnout by statistically significant margins … [even] in states with the strictest voter-ID laws."

When skeptical researchers at PolitiFact dug into Riley's claim, they rated it True.

There wasn't much joy for Obama or his party in last November's midterm elections, but the evidence of democratic engagement among African Americans showed no signs of letup. Overall, black turnout accounted for a higher share of the vote in 2014 than it had in 2010. Once again, it was hard to find significant evidence that voter-ID laws stifled voting, even in GOP strongholds.

Looking at seven states below the Mason-Dixon Line, Bloomberg writer Francis Barry found that "the states with a voter-ID requirement, including Louisiana and Florida, had the highest turnout rates; the two states where no ID is required — Maryland and North Carolina — had the lowest."

Racial tensions obviously haven't vanished entirely from American life, but for all intents and purposes, racism as a political factor has.

As the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act approaches, Jim Crow is dead in its grave, while black electoral vitality in America is alive and well.

Senator's stereotype haunting Louisiana

Senator's Stereotype Haunting Louisiana from the files of Jeff Crouere at Ringside Politics in New Orleans, Louisiana

Visit Jeff Croere at Ringside Politics

On this Halloween weekend, U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) played a nasty trick on the voters of Louisiana. She reiterated the ignorant and inaccurate stereotypes of Louisiana and the South by strongly implying that people of her home state are both racist and sexist.

In response to a question from Chuck Todd of NBC News about why the President is not popular in Louisiana, Landrieu said, “The South has not always been the friendliest place for African-Americans.

It's been a difficult time for the President to present himself in a very positive light as a leader. It's not always been a good place for women to present ourselves. It's more of a conservative place. So we've had to work a little bit harder.”

By her inane comments, Landrieu slammed her constituents, doing tremendous harm to the image of the state. According to Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, Landrieu “appears to be living in a different century,” and he lambasted her remarks as a “major insult” and “remarkably divisive.”

Of course, the President is not unpopular in Louisiana because of his skin color, it is because his policies are destructive. He has failed across the board from domestic to foreign policies and the voters of Louisiana are upset that Senator Landrieu has voted for the President's policies 97% of the time.

Not surprisingly, despite her support for President Obama, Landrieu has kept him away from Louisiana because he is so unpopular in the state. Instead, she has resorted to inviting both Bill and Hillary Clinton to Louisiana in an attempt to improve her sagging political fortunes.

Landrieu's remarks have created a political firestorm and received plenty of attention from Fox News and other national media outlets. These incendiary comments will only worsen her poll numbers as Louisiana voters will undoubtedly be offended by the claim they are both racist and sexist.

By insulting her constituents, Landrieu did not sound like a skilled politician with 35 years of elective office experience. It shows how desperate it has become for the Senator in the final days of this race. Polls show that she is running behind both of her Republican opponents in a hypothetical December runoff.

One of her Republican opponents, Colonel Rob Maness, believes that the Senator needs to address this growing controversy. In the Colonel's view, “Sen. Landrieu owes the people of Louisiana an apology for relegating them to nothing but racists and sexists."

Of course, Colonel Maness is correct and Senator Landrieu owes the people of Louisiana a sincere apology. If Louisiana people are so racist, why did they elect Bobby Jindal, an Indian American, as Governor and Joseph Cao, a Vietnamese-American, as Congressman? If the people were so sexist, why did Landrieu win three terms as Senator and Kathleen Blanco get elected as Governor?

Ironically, on Saturday, the supposedly racist state of Louisiana will be welcoming African American superstar Dr. Ben Carson to St. Tammany Parish for a rally with GOP Senate candidate Dr. Bill Cassidy. A huge crowd will welcome Dr. Carson to Louisiana, not because of his race, but because his innovative ideas are popular with the people of the state.

If President Obama espoused conservative policies his approval rating would be strong. If Senator Landrieu was a conservative instead of a liberal, she would not have to worry about getting re-elected.

It is not Landrieu's gender that will cause her defeat this year, it is her disastrously liberal policies and her clear dislike for her constituents. In contrast to the Senator's stereotypical beliefs that her constituents are dim witted racists and sexists, the people of Louisiana are smart enough to know when it is time to retire one of their arrogant elected officials.
