Public Defender - Blacks can not reason well

Quite possibly the most racist article you will ever read from the files of Colonel Allen B. West

Visit Colonel Allen B. West's Website
Still liberal after all these years.

Every now and then you come across an article that folks just need to read. This one written by Michael Smith entitled, “Confessions of a Public Defender” and originally posted at American Renaissance on May 9, 2014 is one of those articles.

It is a profound and deeply disturbing piece, which, as we end 2014, we all need to comprehend as we move towards the 50th anniversary of the Great Society initiatives of President Lyndon Baines Johnson.

Smith articulates that which ails the black community — the real discussion we should be having on race, not that of victimhood and the further expansion of the welfare nanny-state.

He begins by saying:
“I am a public defender in a large southern metropolitan area. Fewer than ten percent of the people in the area I serve are black but over 90 per cent of my clients are black. The remaining ten percent are mainly Hispanics but there are a few whites.”
“I have no explanation for why this is, but crime has racial patterns. Hispanics usually commit two kinds of crime: sexual assault on children and driving under the influence. Blacks commit many violent crimes but very few sex crimes. The handful of whites I see commit all kinds of crimes. In my many years as a public defender I have represented only three Asians, and one was half black.”
He presents his observations based on his personal experience with black defendants, and his words will no doubt inflame many:
My experience has also taught me that blacks are different by almost any measure to all other people. They cannot reason as well. They cannot communicate as well. They cannot control their impulses as well. They are a threat to all who cross their paths, black and non-black alike.
It will take you only 5 minutes to read this article — and I would bet you’ll read it again. Then ask yourself, is this something you hear Al Sharpton addressing? Or President Obama, Eric Holder, Jeh Johnson or Jesse Jackson?

I’m quite sure the progressive socialist left will criticize me for sharing this article – that’s just who they are – they hate the truth. But if there is a war to be fought, it is for the soul of the inner city and the black community. The facts and observations in this are not shocking to me. They are quite well known, but the manner in which the writer so eloquently presents them is quite commendable.

We cannot begin to “have a conversation about race” until we are willing to honestly address the facts.

As Smith says at the end, “I do know that it is wrong to deceive the public. Whatever solutions we seek should be based on the truth rather than what we would prefer was the truth.”

I am a public defender in a large southern metropolitan area. Fewer than ten percent of the people in the area I serve are black but over 90 per cent of my clients are black. The remaining ten percent are mainly Hispanics but there are a few whites.

I have no explanation for why this is, but crime has racial patterns. Hispanics usually commit two kinds of crime: sexual assault on children and driving under the influence. Blacks commit many violent crimes but very few sex crimes. The handful of whites I see commit all kinds of crimes.

In my many years as a public defender I have represented only three Asians, and one was half black.

As a young lawyer, I believed the official story that blacks are law abiding, intelligent, family-oriented people, but are so poor they must turn to crime to survive. Actual black behavior was a shock to me.

The media invariably sugarcoat black behavior. Even the news reports of the very crimes I dealt with in court were slanted. Television news intentionally leaves out unflattering facts about the accused, and sometimes omits names that are obviously black.
All this rocked my liberal, tolerant beliefs, but it took me years to set aside my illusions and accept the reality of what I see every day. I have now served thousands of blacks and their families, protecting their rights and defending them in court. What follow are my observations.

Although blacks are only a small percentage of our community, the courthouse is filled with them: the halls and gallery benches are overflowing with black defendants, families, and crime victims. Most whites with business in court arrive quietly, dress appropriately, and keep their heads down.
They get in and get out–if they can–as fast as they can. For blacks, the courthouse is like a carnival. They all seem to know each other: hundreds and hundreds each day, gossiping, laughing loudly, waving and crowding the halls.

When I am appointed to represent a client I introduce myself and explain that I am his lawyer. I explain the court process and my role in it, and I ask the client some basic questions about himself.
At this stage, I can tell with great accuracy how people will react. Hispanics are extremely polite and deferential. An Hispanic will never call me by my first name and will answer my questions directly and with appropriate respect for my position. Whites are similarly respectful.

A black man will never call me Mr. Smith; I am always “Mike.” It is not unusual for a 19-year-old black to refer to me as “dog.” A black may mumble complaints about everything I say, and roll his eyes when I politely interrupt so I can continue with my explanation.
Also, everything I say to blacks must be at about the third-grade level. If I slip and use adult language, they get angry because they think I am flaunting my superiority.

At the early stages of a case, I explain the process to my clients. I often do not yet have the information in the police reports. Blacks are unable to understand that I do not yet have answers to all of their questions, but that I will by a certain date.
They live in the here and the now and are unable to wait for anything. Usually, by the second meeting with the client I have most of the police reports and understand their case.

Unlike people of other races, blacks never see their lawyer as someone who is there to help them. I am a part of the system against which they are waging war. They often explode with anger at me and are quick to blame me for anything that goes wrong in their case.

Black men often try to trip me up and challenge my knowledge of the law or the facts of the case.

I appreciate sincere questions about the elements of the offense or the sentencing guidelines, but blacks ask questions to test me. Unfortunately, they are almost always wrong in their reading, or understanding, of the law, and this can cause friction.
I may repeatedly explain the law, and provide copies of the statute showing, for example, why my client must serve six years if convicted, but he continues to believe that a hand-written note from his “cellie” is controlling law.

The risks of trial

The Constitution allows a defendant to make three crucial decisions in his case. He decides whether to plea guilty or not guilty. He decides whether to have a bench trial or a jury trial. He decides whether he will testify or whether he will remain silent.
A client who insists on testifying is almost always making a terrible mistake, but I cannot stop him.

Most blacks are unable to speak English well. They cannot conjugate verbs. They have a poor grasp of verb tenses. They have a limited vocabulary. They cannot speak without swearing. They often become hostile on the stand.
Many, when they testify, show a complete lack of empathy and are unable to conceal a morality based on the satisfaction of immediate, base needs. This is a disaster, especially in a jury trial. Most jurors are white, and are appalled by the demeanor of uneducated, criminal blacks.

Prosecutors are delighted when a black defendant takes the stand. It is like shooting fish in a barrel. However, the defense usually gets to cross-examine the black victim, who is likely to make just as bad an impression on the stand as the defendant.
This is an invaluable gift to the defense, because jurors may not convict a defendant—even if they think he is guilty—if they dislike the victim even more than they dislike the defendant.

Most criminal cases do not go to trial. Often the evidence against the accused is overwhelming, and the chances of conviction are high. The defendant is better off with a plea bargain: pleading guilty to a lesser charge and getting a lighter sentence.

The decision to plea to a lesser charge turns on the strength of the evidence. When blacks ask the ultimate question—”Will we win at trial?”—I tell them I cannot know, but I then describe the strengths and weaknesses of our case.
The weaknesses are usually obvious: There are five eyewitnesses against you. Or, you made a confession to both the detective and your grandmother. They found you in possession of a pink cell phone with a case that has rhinestones spelling the name of the victim of the robbery.
There is a video of the murderer wearing the same shirt you were wearing when you were arrested, which has the words “In Da Houz” on the back, not to mention you have the same “RIP Pookie 7/4/12” tattoo on your neck as the man in the video.

If you tell a black man that the evidence is very harmful to his case, he will blame you. “You ain’t workin’ fo’ me.” “It like you workin’ with da State.” Every public defender hears this. The more you try to explain the evidence to a black man, the angrier he gets.
It is my firm belief many blacks are unable to discuss the evidence against them rationally because they cannot view things from the perspective of others. They simply cannot understand how the facts in the case will appear to a jury.

This inability to see things from someone else’s perspective helps explain why there are so many black criminals. They do not understand the pain they are inflicting on others. One of my robbery clients is a good example. He and two co-defendants walked into a small store run by two young women.
All three men were wearing masks. They drew handguns and ordered the women into a back room. One man beat a girl with his gun. The second man stood over the second girl while the third man emptied the cash register. All of this was on video.

My client was the one who beat the girl. When he asked me, “What are our chances at trial?” I said, “Not so good.” He immediately got angry, raised his voice, and accused me of working with the prosecution. I asked him how he thought a jury would react to the video.
“They don’t care,” he said. I told him the jury would probably feel deeply sympathetic towards these two women and would be angry at him because of how he treated them. I asked him whether he felt bad for the women he had beaten and terrorized. He told me what I suspected—what too many blacks say about the suffering of others:

“What do I care? She ain’t me. She ain’t kin. Don’t even know her.”

No fathers

As a public defender, I have learned many things about people. One is that defendants do not have fathers. If a black even knows the name of his father, he knows of him only as a shadowy person with whom he has absolutely no ties. When a client is sentenced, I often beg for mercy on the grounds that the defendant did not have a father and never had a chance in life.
I have often tracked down the man’s father–in jail–and have brought him to the sentencing hearing to testify that he never knew his son and never lifted a finger to help him. Often, this is the first time my client has ever met his father. These meetings are utterly unemotional.

Many black defendants don’t even have mothers who care about them. Many are raised by grandmothers after the state removes the children from an incompetent teenage mother.
Many of these mothers and grandmothers are mentally unstable, and are completely disconnected from the realities they face in court and in life. A 47-year-old grandmother will deny that her grandson has gang ties even though his forehead is tattooed with a gang sign or slogan.
When I point this out in as kind and understanding way as I can, she screams at me. When black women start screaming, they invoke the name of Jesus and shout swear words in the same breath.

Black women have great faith in God, but they have a twisted understanding of His role. They do not pray for strength or courage. They pray for results: the satisfaction of immediate needs. One of my clients was a black woman who prayed in a circle with her accomplices for God’s protection from the police before they would set out to commit a robbery.

The mothers and grandmothers pray in the hallways–not for justice, but for acquittal. When I explain that the evidence that their beloved child murdered the shop keeper is overwhelming, and that he should accept the very fair plea bargain I have negotiated, they will tell me that he is going to trial and will “ride with the Lord.”
They tell me they speak to God every day and He assures them that the young man will be acquitted.

The mothers and grandmothers do not seem to be able to imagine and understand the consequences of going to trial and losing. Some–and this is a shocking reality it took me a long time to grasp–don’t really care what happens to the client, but want to make it look as though they care.
This means pounding their chests in righteous indignation, and insisting on going to trial despite terrible evidence. They refuse to listen to the one person–me–who has the knowledge to make the best recommendation.
These people soon lose interest in the case, and stop showing up after about the third or fourth court date. It is then easier for me to convince the client to act in his own best interests and accept a plea agreement.

Part of the problem is that underclass black women begin having babies at age 15. They continue to have babies, with different black men, until they have had five or six. These women do not go to school.
They do not work. They are not ashamed to live on public money. They plan their entire lives around the expectation that they will always get free money and never have to work. I do not see this among whites, Hispanics, or any other people.

The black men who become my clients also do not work. They get social security disability payments for a mental defect or for a vague and invisible physical ailment.
They do not pay for anything: not for housing (Grandma lives on welfare and he lives with her), not for food (Grandma and the baby-momma share with him), and not for child support.
When I learn that my 19-year-old defendant does not work or go to school, I ask, “What do you do all day?” He smiles. “You know, just chill.” These men live in a culture with no expectations, no demands, and no shame.

If you tell a black to dress properly for trial, and don’t give specific instructions, he will arrive in wildly inappropriate clothes. I represented a woman who was on trial for drugs; she wore a baseball cap with a marijuana leaf embroidered on it.
I represented a man who wore a shirt that read “rules are for suckers” to his probation hearing. Our office provides suits, shirts, ties, and dresses for clients to wear for jury trials. Often, it takes a whole team of lawyers to persuade a black to wear a shirt and tie instead of gang colors.

From time to time the media reports that although blacks are 12 percent of the population they are 40 percent of the prison population. This is supposed to be an outrage that results from unfair treatment by the criminal justice system.
What the media only hints at is another staggering reality: recidivism. Black men are arrested and convicted over and over. It is typical for a black man to have five felony convictions before the age of 30. This kind of record is rare among whites and Hispanics, and probably even rarer among Asians.

At one time our office was looking for a motto that defined our philosophy. Someone joked that it should be: “Doesn’t everyone deserve an eleventh chance?”

I am a liberal. I believe that those of us who are able to produce abundance have a moral duty to provide basic food, shelter, and medical care for those who cannot care for themselves. I believe we have this duty even to those who can care for themselves but don’t. This world view requires compassion and a willingness to act on it.

My experience has taught me that we live in a nation in which a jury is more likely to convict a black defendant who has committed a crime against a white. Even the dullest of blacks know this. There would be a lot more black-on-white crime if this were not the case.

However, my experience has also taught me that blacks are different by almost any measure to all other people. They cannot reason as well. They cannot communicate as well. They cannot control their impulses as well. They are a threat to all who cross their paths, black and non-black alike.

I do not know the solution to this problem. I do know that it is wrong to deceive the public.
Whatever solutions we seek should be based on the truth rather than what we would prefer was the truth.
As for myself, I will continue do my duty to protect the rights of all who need me.

Ferguson protesters paid $5000 for rioting

A PRonlineNews story reported at Newsmax.com

Paid Protesters Expected to Get Paid $1,250 Per Week from 'MORE'

At least some of the protesters who looted, rioted, burned buildings and overturned police cars in Ferguson, Missouri, last year were promised payment of up to $5,000 per month to join the protests.

However, when the Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment (MORE), the successor group to the now-bankrupt St. Louis branch of ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), stiffed the protesters, they launched a sit-in protest at the headquarters of MORE and created a Twitter page to demand their money, the Washington Times reports.

Former U.S. Rep. Allen B. West noted on his website, "Instead of being thankful for getting off the unemployment line for a few weeks and having a little fun protesting, the paid rioters who tore up Ferguson, MO, are protesting again.

"First of all, can you even imagine getting paid $5,000.00 a month for running around holding a sign and burning down an occasional building? That's around $1,250.00 per week. Try making that at McDonald's or Starbucks."

The Kansas City Star estimates that the Ferguson riots, characterized as a spontaneous eruption of anger over the shooting of unarmed black criminal Michael Brown by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, cost the county $4.2 million.

Millennial Activists United (MAU) posted a letter on their website stating, "On May 14, 2015 many individuals and organizations of the protest movement that began in Ferguson, Missouri, organized a sit-in in the office of Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment (MORE). The demand was simple: Cut the checks. The protesters say they are unable to pay their bills after taking time to travel to Ferguson.

"Questions have been raised as to how the movement is to sustain when white non-profits are hoarding monies collected of off (sic) black bodies? When we will (sic) hold the industry of black suffering accountable? The people of the community are fed up and the accountability begins here and now," the letter continues.

"There is an insidious strand of racism and white supremacy that exists in this movement. This money is typically in the hands of white people who oversee the types of services that the non-profit provides, while having select token black people to spearhead the conversations within and to the community."

MORE is funded by liberal billionaire George Soros, the Times notes, through his Open Society Foundations (OSF).

The OSF, the Times states, paid for activists from various protest groups to travel to Ferguson and take part in the demonstrations.

Akiba Solomon of Colorlines stated, "More than 500 of us have traveled from Boston, Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Nashville, Portland, Tucson, Washington, D.C., Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and other cities to support the people of Ferguson and help turn a local moment into a national movement," the Times noted.

"There's absolutely no doubt that part of the reason that Ferguson flared up was because protesters were being paid to be there. That makes you wonder how many are being paid in Baltimore? How many more will be paid in the future?" The Right Scoop asked.

Protesters directed much of their anger against MORE director Jeff Ordower, former Missouri head of ACORN and ACORN's Midwest operations, FrontPage Mag reports.

"The unpaid rent-a-mob operatives complain that MORE stiffed them the same way ACORN did to hired protesters throughout its 40 years of radical left-wing rabble-rousing," FrontPage Mag reports.

Endless racial discord

From the Warning Signs of Alan Caruba at Facts-not-Fantasy

Know the Warning Signs from Alan Caruba

When I look back at the Civil Rights movement of the 1950s and 60s, I marvel at how naïve I was that the passage of major legislation was going to “solve” the problem of discord between the white and black race.

On May 3, the Wall Street Journal reported on a survey regarding racial disturbances around the nation such as those that wracked Baltimore. “A resounding 96% of adults surveyed said it was likely there would be additional racial disturbances this summer…” To nobody’s surprise, blacks and whites “viewed the situation differently.”

“Asked to choose between two possible explanations for recent events, 60% of blacks said they reflected ‘long-standing frustrations about police mistreatment of African-Americans.’” Some 27% of black respondents said they thought the disturbances were caused by people as an excuse “to engage in looting and violence.”

I favor the latter explanation because I doubt that our nation’s police forces engage in deliberate harassment and mistreatment of blacks.

Indeed, Baltimore has a back Mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, a black police chief, and many blacks among his force. If the issue was the police, then no city in America is safe and that is just not so.

Unfortunately, the foolishness of Baltimore’s Mayor, who told the force to stand down and let the rioters have their way, was then demonstrated by her request that the Department of Justice (DOJ) launch an investigation of the city’s police force.

The problem with that is that the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division has only fifty employees responsible for handling labor-intensive ‘pattern or practice’ investigations among the nation’s 18,000 state and local forces.

There is no way the Baltimore investigation will produce anything of useful information. It is far more likely that the outcome will be more political than demonstrative of trends.

What is generally not being noticed is that the Obama administration, as reported in Politico.com on May 8, “has opened more than twenty such investigations into local law enforcement agencies “most of which result in either a settlement agreement with local officials or a lawsuit that pushes legally binding reform.”

Facts-not-Fantasy
I have come to the view that the most racially divisive leader in America is our first African-American President.

Why else has Rev. Al Sharpton become his most widely recognized “adviser” and why are administration figures are less likely to be found honoring fallen police officers than the alleged black victims?

Three were sent to Freddie Gray’s funeral and none to the funeral of the slain police officers. The First Lady, too, has been stirring up racial discord.

Referring to the Baltimore riot, he said that “we as a nation have to do some soul-searching” when as William McGurn of The Wall Street Journal noted the trillions spent on liberal programs, personified by LBJ’s “War on Poverty”, have not succeeded in reducing poverty and have contributed to creating whole populations that live off of government handouts of one sort or another.

“While the Great Society’s billions were creating a culture of dependency,” said McGurn, “South Korea—with its emphasis on trade and global competition—rose from the ashes of a terrible war to become the world’s 12th largest economy.”

This occurred over the same time period the liberal dependency programs and liberal governance of many U.S. cities created the problem we are addressing and discussing today.

Nor is the answer for the federal government to take over the management of the nation’s police forces. We have already seen how it has ruined the educational system and is now doing the same to our health system.

Are their differences between whites and blacks? Yes, but they are economic. Middle and upper class blacks share the outlook of their white counterparts. They look at the inner cities and they understand that decades of liberal governance has driven out businesses large and small, along with anyone who could afford to leave.

Yes, there was “white flight”, but they were joined by blacks who saw there was no future to be had there for their children. The rest are trapped.

So, will there be more riots and disturbances in our cities this summer? Yes, that would appear to be the case.

So long as police are not allowed to take action against the instigators and perpetrators, that is a given.

Not until this nation returns to the high levels of respect for the men and women who put their lives on the line every day will we see a cessation of such events.

My experience and the nation’s over the past six decades is an indication that some pundit will be holding forth on this topic six decades from now…only it will be worse.

Ferguson is not America

From the Warning Signs of Alan Caruba at Facts-not-Fantasy

Know the Warning Signs from Caruba
The wounding of two police officers in Ferguson, Missouri, and earlier in New York City the assassination of two police officers are disturbing events for all Americans as they represent a hostility that threatens a safe, secure society wherever one lives.

Shooting police is an invitation to anarchy. That there have been protests and parades of late advocating this should be a matter of deep concern to all of us, no matter our race.

Ferguson, however, is NOT America if one looks at its population and the incredibly poor governance they have endured. You get the government for which you vote or when you neglect to vote.

Ferguson is atypical of the nation. As James Langston notes in his book, “America in Crisis,” in Ferguson “the growth of the black population relative to whites is a recent occurrence. In 1990, blacks comprised 25 percent of the city’s population but that percentage grew to 52 percent in 2000 and 67 percent in 2010.”

“The demographic transition was not followed by a corresponding transition in black access to political positions, the police force, union representation, and the like. The recency of the demographic transition likely has altered the city in ways that do not characterize other contemporary major cities in the United States, especially those that are majority black like Detroit or Atlanta.”

As noted in the Department of Justice report of an investigation occasioned by the shooting of Michael Brown by a white police officer, local governance was a factor in the lives of its black citizens that has invoked protest and resentment.

“Ferguson,” notes Langston, “is unusual in the degree that the city uses the municipal court system and the revenue it generates as a way to raise city funds. This created a financial incentive to issue tickets and then impose excessive fees on people who did not pay.” For the record, this occurs in other comparable communities.

“Data bears this out. Ferguson issued more than 1,500 warrants per 1,000 people in 2013 and this rate exceeds all other Missouri cities with a population larger than 10,000 people. Ferguson has a population of just over 21,000 people but issued 24,000 warrants which add up to three warrants per Ferguson household.”

This, however, is not that unusual in Missouri. An article by Joseph Miller, published in the March edition of The Heartland Institute’s Budget and Tax News noted that excessive use of traffic fines is not that uncommon in Missouri. “Of the 20 cities in the county with fine collections exceeding 20% of total revenue, 13 are contiguous with one another in a 25-square-mile section” and described this as “a daily burden for local residents.”

What the media has reported regarding the number of blacks killed in police shootings is a bit deceptive. There is no question that “the disproportional number of blacks that are killed in police shootings”, says Langston. “Blacks comprise 13 percent of the U.S. population, but represent 32 percent of those killed by police between 2003 and 2009.” That’s more than double the number of whites killed.

One must, however, consider the greater number of criminal events that bring together blacks and the police responding to them.

Being black in America inherently evokes the historical fact that this nation practiced slavery prior to and since its founding in 1788 when our Constitution was ratified, to Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation in 1863. It wasn’t until 1964 when the Civil Rights Act was passed, followed by the Voting Rights Act in 1965 that the discrimination affecting the black community was fully addressed.

Two generations of Americans, black, white and other racial groups, have been born since then and these new generations have no living memory of the Civil Rights movement or the riots that occurred in cities like Los Angeles and Philadelphia. Between 1955 and 1977 there were more than thirty race riots in America. Younger Americans did not experience them. Older Americans recall them and the protests in Ferguson evoked disturbing memories.

As reported in a 2007 study released by the National Urban League, “African-American men are more than twice as likely to be unemployed as white males. They are nearly as likely to be incarcerated, with average jail sentences about 10 months longer than those of white men.”

Between the ages of 15 and 34, the civil rights group noted that “black males are nine times more likely to be killed by firearms and nearly eight times as likely to suffer from AIDS.” The unemployment rates are comparable to those today, eight years later.

A 2007 report by the U.S. Bureau of Statistics noted that, while only 13 percent of the U.S. population, blacks “were the victims of 49 percent of all murders and 15 percent of rapes, assaults, and other nonfatal violent crimes nationwide.” Significantly, “Most of the black murder victims—93 percent—were killed by other black people” while 85 percent of white victims were slain by other white people.

One might conclude that murder is rampant in America, but the reality is that homicides are at a 50-year low. The peak homicide rate was in 1980. The rate began to grow in the mid-1960s, but steadily dropped by the 1990s. Today’s murder rate is at the lowest point in the past century.

What we are witnessing, however, is the result of cultural issues that afflict the black community. Juan Williams, a Fox News analyst, writing in 2007 noted that “One hard, unforgiving fact is that 70 percent of black children are born today to single mothers.” The school dropout rate is “about 50 percent nationwide for black students.”

“Black youth culture is boiling over with nihilism. It embraces failure and frustration, including random crime and jail time,” wrote Williams.

Ferguson is an example of far larger problems that afflict the black community. Only blacks can solve these problems.

One might have thought—and many did—that the election of America’s first black President was going to make these problems go away. Many blacks have entered the middle class, but the majority encounters the problems endemic to the black community and, until its culture and lifestyle choices change, those problems will be around for a long time to come.

With a black President, a black Attorney General, black members of Congress, black mayors and others demonstrating how different 2015 is from 1965, laying blame on white racism is no longer a valid excuse.

Eight times more likely to commit crime

Eight times more likely than whites by Donald Joy at Clash Daily.com

The lies just keep on piling up. Largely because a drugged-out, giant black thug robbed a store and tried to murder a white police officer, losing his own life in the process instead, the full force of our modern black-supremacist government has descended on an already beleaguered police department in America’s heartland.

The gestapo agents of Eric Holder and Barack Obama have formally concocted an official, bogus narrative which is obviously designed to help Black Grievance Industry attorneys win huge civil settlements on behalf of Michael Brown’s family, seeing as they completely failed to turn their shameless race-hoax into a criminal case against officer Darren Wilson.

Fresh from their federal witch-hunt in Ferguson, the anti-white shakedown scam enforcers want you to believe the predominantly white police department there is exceptionally racist and corrupt because of a few emailed jokes, and because blacks are stopped, cited, and arrested in higher numbers, slightly disproportionate to their local representation, compared to whites.

What they purposely fail to include in their dishonest report is that according to Eric Holder’s own Justice Department/FBI statistics, minimally mentioned even on CNN, blacks are actually 8 times more likely to commit crime than whites.

So the real tale of the Ferguson police department, and of law enforcement all over the country, is that blacks are, in reality, stopped, cited, and arrested nowhere near as much as they really should be!

Remembering Selma and ignoring black violence

From the Warning Signs of Alan Caruba at Facts-not-Fantasy

Know Caruba's Warning Signs at Facts-not-Fantasy
The pat answer for black complaints about events these days is “white racism.” One rarely, if ever, reads or hears anything about black racism, but if you ask, many blacks will acknowledge it.

As the 50th anniversary of the Selma, Alabama confrontation was recalled, there was little mention of a multitude of black violence events that continue to either go unreported or reported to reflect “white racism” even when it is not a factor.

In 2013, Colin Flaherty published “White Girl Bleed a Lot: The Return of Racial Violence to America and How the Media Ignore It.” His new book, “Don’t Make the Black Kids Angry: The Hoax of Black Victimization and How We Enable It” was published in February. It picks up from where the first book left off, filled with hundreds of stories of black-on-white violence that, as often as not, did not receive much attention.

Available on Amazon
By contrast, when a black youth is killed as in the cases of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown, the media ignored the violence that led to it. The Department of Justice (DOJ) and local investigations found that both killings were self-defense. Even questions of whether the youth’s civil rights were abused found that they were not.

In early March an 86-page DOJ report about the shooting of Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, confirmed that Darren Wilson, a white police officer, acted in self-defense. Also in February, a DOJ report exonerated George Zimmerman, a white man, for shooting Martin. When a case was brought against him in Florida in July 2013, the jury acquitted him.

The most recent case is the shooting on Saturday, March 7, of Tony Robinson in Madison, Wisconsin. The 19-year-old black youth was shot as the result of an altercation with a white police officer. News reports stressed Robinson was “unarmed”, but downplayed the fact that the veteran officer had been struck in the head and knocked down. Also largely unreported was that Robinson had pled guilty last year to armed robbery and was serving a three-year probation term.

At what point do we begin to ask why black youths are behaving in this fashion toward police officers? Theirs is a culture in serious trouble.

As someone who spent years in the South when “Jim Crow” laws were still in effect I had an understanding of how and why the civil rights movement began in earnest in the late 1950s and gained momentum throughout the 1960s. In 1964 Congress passed a Civil Rights Act and in 1965 it passed the Voting Rights Act. Naively, I and lots of others, white and black, thought it would resolve many of the problems that had afflicted blacks.

A half century since then, however, Flaherty’s new book documents the racially-based animosity that exists throughout elements of America’s black population and how it demonstrates itself in acts of violence. The accounts are often shocking.

“Black crime and violence against whites, gays, women, seniors, young people and lots of others is astronomically out of proportion,” says Flaherty in his new book, following up that assertion with 500 pages of events and pages of detailed endnotes.

A professional journalist, Flaherty opined that “In 2013 more and more people began to figure out that the traditional excuses—jobs, poverty, schooling, whatever—for black crime and mayhem were not really working anymore.”

“Now they have a new excuse. The ultimate excuse: White racism is everywhere. White racism is permanent. White racism explains everything.”

The perception of racial issues in America says Flaherty, involves “A new generation of black leaders and white enablers (who) want to remove black violence from the table and focus on the Big Lie: The war on Black People and how racist white people are waging it. All the time. Everywhere. When just the opposite is true.”

Flaherty’s book documents “black resentment, black hostility, and black racial consciousness that permeates every part of black media, black churches, black families, and black schooling.” Sadly, this also manifests itself as black-on-black violence.

That hostility has also been witnessed in the acts and words of America’s first black President and his black Attorney General. How did Barack Obama get elected and reelected if “white racism” is so widespread?

President Barack Hussein Obama and Al Sharpton
As Flaherty noted, “The President got in on the act in 2014 when he told the Congressional Black Caucus about a ‘justice gap.’ Where ‘too many young men of color feel targeted by law enforcement. Guilty of walking while black. Driving while black. Judged by stereotypes that fuel fear and resentment and hopelessness.’”

Race has played a role in American history from the day when the first indentured African was brought here in 1654, up to and after the Civil War that was fought to end the slave trade, and through to current times when, based on all the laws that have been passed to protect everyone’s civil rights, one might think that the problems associated with race would have been resolved.

The problems haven’t been resolved because too much animosity exists and, too frequently, as Flaherty documents, it is black animosity toward whites.

Most people, white and black, wish this would end.

Sheriff to Sharpton: Crawl back in your gutter

David Clarke, Wisconsin sheriff: ‘Al Sharpton ought to go back into the gutter he came from’by Cheryl K. Chumley at The Washington Times

Go Back to the Gutter You Came From Says Clarke
Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke didn’t pull any punches in his assessment of the Reverand Al Sharpton — who vowed to keep fighting for justice for slain Ferguson teen Michael Brown, despite the feds’ decision to drop a civil rights investigation — and characterized him on national television as less than intelligent and unworthy of respect.

“The grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri, got it right,” Sheriff Clarke said, during an appearance on “Fox and Friends.”

Sheriff Clarke then directed anger at Mr. Sharpton, who spoke sharply in the wake of Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision not to prosecute Mr. Wilson, a former police officer, on civil rights charges.

“I don’t expect anything intelligent to come out of the mouth of Al Sharpton,” Sheriff Clarke said, Mediaite reported. “We know he is a charlatan. Al Sharpton ought to go back into the gutter he came from . . . . more

De Blasio is a loser and should resign

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio should resign immediately

According to Fox News host Bill O'Reilly, 'New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has lost the backing of his police department and should resign immediately.'

O'Reilly was on Christmas break Monday night, but phoned in to "O'Reilly Factor" guest host Greg Gutfeld to criticize de Blasio's handling of the recent protests against police.

O'Reilly said de Blasio lost the police when he called an attack by protesters on two police lieutenants "alleged" when the actions were clearly shown on video.

"Once he said that, that was the end," O'Reilly said.

When de Blasio showed up at a hospital on Saturday where two slain police officers had been taken, a line of police officers turned their backs on him in protest. "Good for them," O'Reilly said.

De Blasio cannot run the city and has lost the respect and control of the NYPD, he said.

"They will never come back no matter what he says. He associated with the provocateurs and he has disgraced the office of mayor of New York City. He should resign."

Dealing with disruptive protestors

Finally, the sane approach to dealing with Ferguson protesters from the files of Judson Phillips, Founder of the Tea Party Nation

Meet Judson Phillips, Tea Part Nation
In the last few weeks, there have been numerous protests over the justifiable homicide of robber and criminal Michael Brown and the death of criminal Eric Garner.

Many of these protesters have decided a great way to protest is to go to malls and shopping centers so they can have a “die in.” The “die in” is just their way of screwing up the lives of real Americans who want to do their Christmas shopping.

Unfortunately many cities and many shopping malls have simply decided to tolerate the disruption, lest they offend the mob and the mob starts rioting.

One jurisdiction has decided differently. Perhaps the most amazing part of the story is where this is happening.

From WCCO:
In the next few days, the Bloomington City Attorney Sandra Johnson expects to file criminal charges against the organizers of Saturday’s protest at Mall of America.

The mall went into a partial shutdown for about two hours as thousands of protesters filled the rotunda on one of the busiest shopping days of the year. The group, “Black Lives Matter” chose the mall for its high visibility, but was warned repeatedly that it was private property.

Mall officials are reportedly gathering estimates of how much money the stores lost on Saturday.

Combined with the amount of overtime put in by police, Johnson said the numbers will be “staggering,” and she wants the protest organizers to pay.

The moment the chanting started Saturday, officers locked down about 80 stores and several mall entrances. In and around the rotunda, business came to a halt for about two hours.

Nate Bash works at one store near the rotunda, which he didn’t want us to name.

“You had people yelling and screaming inside the mall that wanted out and you had people yelling and screaming outside the mall that wanted in,” he said. “I would say the mall was less than half as busy as it should have been considering what day it was.”

“This was a powder keg just waiting for a match,” said Johnson.

The City Attorney is now building criminal cases against the protest organizers. She said she’ll try to get restitution for money lost by the mall, the city and police agencies that came from as far away as Hastings and Red Wing.

“The main perpetrators are those who continued on their Facebook site to invite people illegally to the Mall of America,” she said.
Good for this prosecutor! It is about time someone stood up to these thugs.

Compare that to the not so bright police chief in Nashville who refused to arrest “protesters” who shut down one of the cities Interstate highways and offered the “protesters” hot chocolate. When the protesters decided to disrupt one of the larger malls and shopping areas, he kindly blocked the roads so the “protesters” could have their temper tantrums. In his idiotic mind, the rights of the protesters trump the rights of real Americans who simply want to go on about their lives.

But good for Minnesota.

This is an example that should be followed in other jurisdictions. A lot of good things could come from this, including saving police lives.

Hey Poverty Pimps - #whitelivesmatter

To those poverty pimps - #whitelivesmatter from the files of Judson Phillips at the Tea Party Nation

Click Here to Visit the Tea Party Nation

Last night there was another shooting. This one involved a black teenager and a white police officer and happened in Nashville.

You are hearing about this one all over the news right? Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are booking flights to Nashville right now, right? Well maybe not so fast. Why not?

From the Tennessean:
The teenager, identified as Xavier McDonald, had fired on police in Nashboro Village, hitting Officer John Downs in the leg, according to police spokesman Don Aaron. Four officers returned fire, killing McDonald at the scene.

The incident began Sunday afternoon when police were called to the area to investigate a robbery. The robbery victim told police he had come to the neighborhood to give a woman a ride when two males robbed him.

The investigation led police to unit 825 in the Hunter's Trace complex in Nashboro Village, a collection of residential complexes southeast of the airport near Murfreesboro Road. When they arrived, Aaron said, a woman allowed officers inside, where they saw McDonald and others.

When an officer attempted to pat McDonald down, he barricaded himself in the bathroom, Aaron said. Officers then called in negotiators and the force's special response team.

As McDonald emerged from the bathroom and proceed to walk out the front door of the condo, an officer tried unsuccessfully to take him into custody with a Taser. McDonald then fired a semiautomatic handgun at the officers around 7:30 p.m., Aaron said, hitting Downs, who was to the right of the door.

"He came out firing," Aaron said.

Downs, an 18-year veteran of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, was shot in the leg near his groin. Downs, 42, is in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, although Aaron said his recovery will require multiple surgeries
.
No, you won’t see the POVERTY PIMPS and race grievance guru’s out on this one because this story does not fit the narrative.

McDonald was the suspect in a robbery and not surprisingly had a juvenile record.

  • Where are Sharpton and Jackson?
  • Are they coming to Nashville to thank the police officer for serving his community?
  • Are they coming to express their gratitude that there will not be another police funeral?

No, they will not talk about this case nor will the drive by media. This case will be conveniently forgotten about.

For people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, only certain lives matter.

Police Officers and the duty of all Americans

Police Officers, and the duty of every American citizen from the files of Ken LaRive at the Examiner

Read the Ken LaRive Files at the Examiner
I've been sick two weeks with a cold, and finally went to the doctor. He gave a cortisone shot, antibodies, a decongestant. With the holidays upon us I was going to write about the Christmas spirit, but with a cortisone shot I've decided to write about police brutality, from my perspective, of course.

I remember my first experience with it. I was about 17. My ride was a 289, 66 mustang. My father supplemented the payments on that car, insurance and all, but most of that was supplied by me. Thursday to Saturday I worked a Bali' Hi, at Pontchartrain beach, as a waiter. On Friday night at about one o'clock in the morning I was hungry and wanted a beer.

Yes, I also had just started smoking too. My virgin body rejected both alcohol and smoking, and I was constantly getting sick. But I pushed through this 'caus I wanted to be a man. A Marlborough man, I suppose. (I had not yet found Maddy).

I went to a local bar and met up with a friend, and toasted two drafts. At 130 pounds I was indeed legally drunk, and previous experiences indicated to me that a third beer would have incapacitate me, loosing even the ability to articulate my words, and unless I got something to eat, would have had a horrendous hangover.

We drove our individual cars, a Volkswagen beetle and a mustang, to an all-night diner, and ordered fried chicken. Those were the good old days when I could eat fried foods, and we could drink under age.

We laughed and had a good time, and at about 2-thirty split company, and as I watched him drive off, only having to go two blocks to get home, I got into my car. It was a foggy morning and all of my windows were frosted. I started to back up and hit a car. I got out and guess what, it was a police cruiser.

I won't repeat what the two officers told me here, and one twisted my arm and slammed me over the hood of my car. Can't say that it hurt, I just remember his ability to "man-handle me." I thought of myself as a "hood" from the inner city, and capable, but I was just a pimply faced punk to him, and yes, I was.

I said something like, "I didn't see you sir! I'm sorry I hit your car. Yes sir, Yes sir!" And he let me up. "To much paper work." he said, and he looked in my eyes with his flashlight, temporally blinding me. "Be on you way son, and be careful." I was dazed, and overwhelmingly grateful.

The next encounter of substance, though there was a lot more between that... a lot I inadvertently saw that did not directly impact me specifically, was in San Diego... I was waiting for two weeks to be assigned to my new ship, the USS Kitty Hawk. I was dressed in my dress whites, on the beach, with my sister who had flown in to see me off. I was sitting there, like Steve McQueen, with my hat tilted back, kinda like the movie the Sand Pebble. I was 19, and my hero was Steve McQueen.

A little kid came up to me and said that those two men over there, and he pointed, want to talk with you. I looked and it was two MP's. I jumped up and walked over there with a smile on my face, "Yes sir!" I said, "What can I do for you?" They didn't reply. "Write him up. Needs a haircut, a shave, and out of uniform. You have two hours to report to your duty station." I was such a little kid, I asked "Are you taking away my leave?"

Now, if I would have complied, it would only have been a few hours delay, as I think back, but my sister came up and when she found out my leave was canceled, she got between us and demanded that he let me go.

"Do not get in the middle of this young lady, step back or you will be arrested for obstruction," and she did step back, and with a livid red face said the wrong thing... "You Pig!" she yelled out! Well, it all happened very fast. I was picked up like a sack of potatoes by the nape of my neck and my webbed belt, and thrown into the paddy-wagon without ceremony. And I looked at my sister as we drove off crying on the beach...

Something welled up in me... and I said to the officers. "I though you guys were on my side! What the hell are you doing here?" One of them looked at me through the little window that separated us and said, "You little bastard. If you say one more word we are going to go back there and beat the living s*it out of you. Got that!" I sat back there fuming, and then it happened, I threw up. "What! You been drinking! You stink up our ride!" He said with a loud and threatening tone...

"No," I said. "I always throw up before a fight." And his face got really red, and so did his partner, and they both bust out laughing. (I was in shock). Because they were not just laughing, but rolling in their seats. "You are going to clean every bit of that slime, and disinfect it too! ...you little bastard!" And I did. And I realized too, that there was a lot more to these men then I could comprehend...

I was out in eight hours, thanks to a third cousin who contacted my CO and told him I was a good man, and that he would take personal responsibility for me over the week end. I got my last two days leave, unimpeded, and the riot act explained to me by my lifer cousin, and then a face to face with my temp CO.

In essence both told me that I now belonged to the US Government, and to remember that if I didn't want to spend more time in the brig. I was the lowest man on the totem poll, an SN (seaman) an E-3, but that those men had the ability to arrest an officer too, for the exact same thing. Somehow I doubted that, but it was, in retrospect, a good experience... though the ego in me was bused.

When I got aboard we reported to the Personnel office, all of us seven from Louisiana. One lone seaman looked at my record, glanced at it and me, and asked to see my hands. "I see you have never done a days manual labor in your life." he said with a smile, “Can you type?”

" Yes sir! 70 words a minute, and no errors." I could do about twenty, with three. "I see you came from submarines, non-volved did ya. And," he said with a glance around the room, "Out of uniform on the beach. Well, good for you, and no need to call me sir." I looked around the room and everyone was smiling. This was X-division, and these men would all, to the last, as the weeks turned to years, be my friends. And even to this day get choked up about it.

"Thanks." I said. And I was then a part of X-division. And a very lucky man.

I was sent to the Captain's office as one of his five yeoman. And with time they liked me, and gave me the opportunity to practice my typing, though I never did get to that 70 wpm.

Over-site

Now, looking at these two examples, and seeing now the overwhelming negativity for the police today, lets try to dissect this in a rational way.

I saw a viral YouTube video a few weeks back of a woman charged with drunk driving who was pushed by an officer so hard she fell forward and hit her face on the bunk. She had to have reconstructive surgery, so it stated... she was charged with a DUI, and I don't remember what happened to the officer. And since it seems the officer lost his temper, I'd like to question why?

First off, an officer has taken an oath not only to protect and to serve, but to defend the Constitution of the United States of America form all enemies both domestic and foreign. Of the fifteen or so officers in my community who I have spoken to about this oath, usually while we are waiting to get our car washed, only two did not understand that concept. Yes, two is a high number in that ratio. And those who actually understood my question associated it with gun control. In essence, most of them immediately said "No way would I ever allow my guns to be taken."

Only a few, about three, said, "and I will not allow them to take your guns, and would not obey any order to confiscate mine." Now that a problem? ...and I gave them all my Examiner card and told them all about the Oath Keepers. Only one knew of them... only one, and I think, in a crisis, that would be enough, and here is why. All of them now do... they do because I told them about it. It made a difference. Your will to change has worth!

Police Motivation

I must admit, though I can not prove this, but I speculate that many police officers are motivated to the force because they want to have power, with a force for good secondary. I think this changes rapidly when they realize that they are responsible and accountable for upholding a rule of law. They also realize quickly and simultaneously, that rule of law is nebulous, broken, and as they arrest a person on the street, they are let out to do the very same thing the next day.

This is very frustrating to them, but it is far more than that.... Those with money too, can afford good counsel... It is also a very dangerous job, and they do take their lives in their hands every day they put on that uniform. And though, of course, there is also that very human trait called ego, that we all have, and both sides want respect. Both sides, even if one side is in the wrong...

So wait a minute! Let me tell you another little story... When I was a young boy, my father brought us to visit his friend, Mr. Wade, who was a sheriff in a place called Waveland, MS. He was with my Father in both WW2 and Korea, he as a mechanic and MP, and my father as the ship's nurse. From that experience he became a police officer, and my father a Barber.

He lived in a rural area, and owned a large tract of land. He was a hunter, with several amazing white-tail trophies on his wall. There was another thing there too, and I asked him about it. It was his shield, framed, with a date under it.

"Yes," he said. "That's my shield. I pulled a drunk man over..., very routine I thought, and he shot me when I approached his window. Knocked me off my feet, and he got away. The bullet hit my shield, and whats the chance of that?" He laughed. " He is still in prison for attempted murder of a police officer." I remember my dad telling me years later he had become Chef, and a little later that he had died of lung cancer.

Okay, so lets for a moment look at the officer who shoved that drunk woman. I'm sure he pushed her too hard, and didn't gauge her size or her amount of inebriation to catch herself. What was going on in his mind? Perhaps it was a wreck he was remembering, children dead, perhaps, and all by a drunk driver. Perhaps, just like those two gigantic MP's who had seen a lot, even in war, as they were indeed lifers.

I ask you...What if something simple can center them, like courtesy, or heaven forbid, respect, and they can again focus on the reality of the situation. What if all you have to do is comply? And even if you are being wronged? On the street is no place to argue. There are too many complications on-site for an officer to accurately ascertain. When he says put your hands up, do so immediately.

When he says to put your hands behind your back, say yes sir, while you comply, and turn so he can cuff you. If you do not comply, he will be forced to make you, and the more you squirm the more you resist arrest, and the more forcefully he will become. You will not win. What are you expecting, that you will be too much for him to handle? Is that the type of officer you want protecting you?

Go to the station, and in a short time you will be released. That is the place to sort this out, and sometimes with a lawyer...Swallow your ego, and look at the broader picture. And oh, we are now talking about the militarization of the military? Like that is a bad thing? How many officer's lives would have been saved if they would have had a vest on? My dad's friend only had a tin shield to protect him, and a bit of divine intervention perhaps.

Ask yourself, if you saw wrecks, drunk drivers, countless laws broken, and violence every day... If you saw it on the line, put the white cloth over kids that looked identical to your own, just what would that do to you? It is called Post Traumatic Syndrome, (PTS), and that is just as viable as a person with an M-16 shooting an enemy in war. An enemy he knows is fighting for his own cause, with children and a family all his own... and as you pull that trigger, that trigger pulls you.

That is a big problem for our military, because many of the men, once they get dispatched into the theater of war, question why? Seems to me they would have asked that question first, but that is the trust of boys at 19, and I know that all too well. Fortunately, as I was drafted, I had the foresight to enlist. But basically, at that age, what I really wanted was to be a man, and that is really what war requires. To do what you are told with out question.

Though I never pulled a trigger, indeed I was there, with twenty four-seven flight ops. All I saw was the flashes on the horizon, and it did something to me even so, just as the jetted JP-5 jet fuel we dumped on a crystal clear ocean, and the unused/unexploded ordinances that we dispersed into the Tonken Gulf.

The five crash landings, the two men in Hong Kong who died of a drug overdose, the man who commuted suicide, the officer hit with a grappling hook, the 600 men who got VD in the Philippines, the great white owl three days out from Hawaii I tried to capture... who flew out to sea... and so much more... yes, all of it still lingers... and in none of it did I see one drop of blood... actually, the only blood I saw was my own, as I got pounded in the ring trying to be a boxer.

I have the greatest respect for our police. I would die trying to save one, without a doubt, and I know they would do the same for me, almost to the last man. God bless them! They should be able to possess at least an equal amount of fire power in this crazy world, and I know, without a doubt that if the chips were down, they would be the only one who would come to my aid.

When we dial 9-11 they don't contact anyone but them, and an ambulance, and a fireman too, all of which have seen a lot. Think about that when you judge all for the failure of a few, from your computer screens.

My home town is New Orleans. Last weekend six men died there, and all of it black on black, and all of it about turf, all of it about drugs. I am opposed to this drug war on many counts, and I wonder at the many men in prison for non-violent possession of illegal substances with the intent to distribute.

Fortunes can be made, and they lost both freedom, and many years of their lives, and yet today many states have made that legal. How do you think that makes both sides feel? The officers who risked their lives to uphold the law, and those who risk their lives to make an unimaginable amount of money breaking it?

I sir, am a Libertarian. I didn't get that way just by my experiences, but by studying the greatest and most powerful force, the very backbone of our country, our Bill of Rights and Constitution. And these concepts are only as viable as the people, like you and me, who, by our knowledge of them, demand that the laws we have adhere to those basic premises, and we should accept nothing less. Read your Constitution, and know your civil rights, and demand that the force of law stands for that, might for right.

And if you do not have the fortitude to do that, don't cry if they are taken from you. Liberty is not free, and each and every generation must win that gift again. Our Constitution is destroyed because we don't have enough people to stand up against tyranny. It is that simple. That is the duty of the American Citizen, not crying.

And then perhaps, if we had laws based on the Constitution and Bill of rights... deadly force, and the instruments to enforce them, would not be necessary... in most cases. And that is the rub isn't it? There are bad men in this world, and what separates them from us, is the police.
