Our nation should ignore President Obama

Meet Dan Bongino

America is still suffering from one of the bloodiest terror attacks on American soil in recent history. So what does this abject failure of a president decide to do?

First, he blames American gun owners using his own twisted and tortured logic which states that disarming Americans will somehow make them safer from terrorists in an attack.

And now his Attorney General has announced that they are investigating, wait for it..., the police department involved in the "clock boy" case.

For the sake of the country, it's time for us to ignore President Obama.

First, American citizens should ignore President Obama and ignore his disingenuous, and ideologically-driven calls for gun control.

I am consistently in awe of the bravery and heroism of our men and women in blue who repeatedly place themselves in clear and present danger to fight terror. Just listen to the valorous SWAT officer in San Bernardino who told frightened people exiting the Inland Regional Center "I'll take a bullet before you do. That's for damn sure."

That attitude confirms what most of us already know: there's a special brand of courage embedded in the souls of our nation's police officers.

But, the harsh reality is that the overwhelming majority of active shooter incidents are over in just minutes and a police response is likely more than just a few minutes away. This means that YOU are responsible for your own defense during those critical first few minutes of an event such as this.

Despite the wishes of the extreme-left, the business end of a terrorist's weapon of choice will not respond kindly to begging and pleading. Please, ignore the president and his dangerous calls for more gun control.

At a minimum, learn to operate a firearm and familiarize yourself with their basic operation, even if you do not wish to carry one. It may save your life.
