I have actually discovered an honest Muslim cleric. A good friend of mine, Younis Z, sent me this video from our friends at the Middle Eastern Media Research Institute (MEMRI). The video shows Bahraini intellectual Dhiyaa al-Musawi being interviewed on Abu Dhabi TV on December 29, 2006.

One could only wish that from this man and others like hii would flow the rivers of reformation of Islam. This is what I mean by defeating the ideology — what he refers to as the “gallows of ideology” and the key is education — the freeing of the mind.
Instead of PC banter, such as you hear emanating from the cultural jihadist apologists in the , who blame the abhorrent behaviors of Islamists on Western civilization, this cleric points the blame right where it belongs: to a culture of death that promises paradise for violence.
I would love to know the whereabouts of Mr. al-Musawi. He offers hope for the Islamic world.
