Senator Richard Shelby, candidate for the United States Senate, released a new ad featuring attorney Annemarie Axon of Birmingham, Alabama, discussing Shelby’s strong opposition to President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran.

“The Iran nuclear deal is a bad deal for the American people,” said Senator Shelby.

“Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, and the agreement negotiated by the Obama Administration only enriches the Iranian regime and its terrorist proxies.

I strongly oppose this one-sided agreement that threatens the safety, stability, and security of the United States and our allies.”

“Iran’s leaders vow to destroy Israel and Obama just made it easier for them to create a nuclear bomb,” said Annemarie Axon.

“Richard Shelby asked, ‘If Putin’s for Obama’s nuclear deal, why on earth should we be?’ That’s my kind of conservative.”

“NIH plays an important role in the lives of Americans all across the country, such as the approximately 30,000 who are currently living with Cystic Fibrosis,” said Senator Shelby.

“Medical research means hope for families and individuals with illnesses, and I am committed to working with NIH to ensure that they continue to spur medical innovation.”
