Delusional and dangerous national strategy

From the files of Colonel Allen B. West

Visit Colonel West at His Online Website

“When I was commissioned as an Army officer in 1982, one of the books listed on our mandatory reading was Sun Tzu’s Art of War. I willed my original copy to a young subordinate officer years ago. However, I still maintain a copy in my office at the NCPA.” ~ Allen West

Allen West for Townhall:
One of the memorable quotes from that seminal strategic work is, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” It is that quote which is most applicable considering the most recent inane statement emanating from our Commander-in-Chief, President Barack Obama, at last week’s US Coast Guard Academy graduation.

At that event, which is the christening of young future leaders, they were told that if they denied climate change they were negligent and derelict of their duty. That, ladies and gents, is a rather harsh and hypocritical statement coming from someone who abandoned Americans to die in Benghazi, Libya and promulgated a false narrative to cover the negligent action.

It is an ironic perspective coming from someone who is negotiating with an enemy, Iran, who chants “death to America” while they are holding four Americans hostage – Robert Levinson, Jason Reznaian, Saeed Abedini, and Amir Hekmati.

What is most disconcerting is the stretch to align climate change as a cause for Islamic terrorism, at least one specific group. President Obama claimed that we need to, “Understand climate change did not cause the conflicts we see around the world. Yet, what we also know is that severe drought helped to create the instability in Nigeria that was exploited by the terrorist group Boko Haram.”
This is where Sun Tzu’s quote is applicable, as President Obama knows not the nature of the enemy.

New York Times: CIA funds delivered to Al Qaeda

From the Next News Network and Gary Franchi

In the spring of 2010, Afghan officials struck a deal to free an Afghan diplomat held hostage by Al Qaeda. But the price was steep — $5 million — and senior security officials were scrambling to come up with the money.

They first turned to a secret fund that the Central Intelligence Agency bankrolled with monthly cash deliveries to the presidential palace in Kabul, according to several Afghan officials involved in the episode.

The Afghan government, they said, had already squirreled away about $1 million from that fund. Within weeks, that money and $4 million more provided from other countries was handed over to Al Qaeda, replenishing its coffers after a relentless C.I.A. campaign of drone strikes in Pakistan had decimated the militant network’s upper ranks.

Off-the-books cash delivered directly to President Karzai’s office shows payments on a vast scale.

The Afghan leader Hamid Karzai told reporters Saturday that money delivered by the C.I.A. was “an easy source of petty cash.”

“God blessed us with a good amount of money this month,” Atiyah Abd al-Rahman, the group’s general manager, wrote in a letter to Osama bin Laden in June 2010, noting that the cash would be
used for weapons and other operational needs.

Is opposing Islam a racist act?

From the files of Audrey Russo at Clash Daily.com

“Islam is an ideology. It’s not a race.” ~ Ibrahim Hooper, CAIR spokesperson

If you care about truth in today’s world culture…you’re going against the flow. Truth is the new “hate speech”, especially if that speech is about the new Leftist/Marxist victim of the moment: Islam.

According to the Left…taking its lead from Islam (Sharia Islamic Law)…if you even question Islam, you are committing a hate crime and are branded a racist. But there is a wee bit of a problem with this premise: Islam…is not a race, hence the racist label is void!

Let’s look at the simple facts (a foreign concept to Leftists):

  • There are Muslims in almost every culture on earth today, including: Arab, Persian (Iran), Chinese, Indian, African and Mexican.
  • The ideology of Islam can be found among people of every skin hue.
  • Islam is not a genetic variation/mutation that can be passed on through heredity.

Islam is a belief system that can only be followed by choice, not inherited by DNA. (In the case of Islam, that choice is under duress.)

So, why is anyone who questions or is critical of Islam, labeled racist? Because fear works.

Those that hate truth wield the term “racist” like Muhammed’s sword to cut off the virtual tongue of any that would question Islam’s dictates. Muhammed was a clever politician who knew that people generally respected religious convictions, so he stole from Judaism, Christianity and the pagan religions of the day and used it as a cloak (burqa) for his totalitarian system known as Islam.

Today, as was designed by the inventor of the term (Leon Trotsky, founder/leader of the Red Army), “racist” is used to strike trepidation in the hearts of those who value their native culture and traditions and seek to preserve them.

Preserving Western values? Islam will have none of that, because its prophet dictated that Muslims rule ~ and not like sports fans claim about their team, but literally, over the entire planet.

And with the help of their Leftist/Marxist minions, they’ll use “racist” or any other term, to reach that tyrannical goal.

I have an ISIS defeat strategy: Who else does?

ISIS abducts 150 Christians; parades captives in cages: Does anyone have a strategy for defeating ISIS besides me? from the files of Colonel Allen B. West

As you know, the Obama administration completed its summit on countering violent extremism last week, and it didn’t take long for Islamic State to respond — you know, the group that’s not Islamic and doesn’t represent a religious pursuit.

As reported by Reuters, “Islamic State militants [i.e. terrorists/jihadists] have abducted at least 150 people from Assyrian Christian villages in northeastern Syria they had raided, Christian Syrian activists said on Tuesday.

A Syrian Christian group representing several NGO’s inside and outside the country said it had verified at least 150 people missing, including women, children, and elderly, who had been kidnapped by the militants [i.e. terrorists/jihadists].

“We have verified at least 150 people who have been adducted from sources on the ground,” Bassam Ishak, President of the Syriac National Council of Syria, whose family itself is from Hasaka, told Reuters from Amman.

Earlier the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 90 were abducted when the militants [i.e. terrorists/jihadists] carried out dawn raids on rural villages inhabited by the ancient Christian minority west of Hasaka, a city mainly held by the Kurds.”

Now, how long will we continue this charade, trying to make ourselves believe that beheading Egyptian Coptic Christians and abducting Christians is not about religion or it is not about conducting a genocide, a purging.

How do we look at our own children and explain how this type of evil is allowed to exist in today’s world? And it’s not just one group. Another Nigerian girl – this one only seven years old — has been used as a suicide bomber by Boko Haram — affiliated with ISIS.

Yes, we do have reports about some minor successes against ISIS, such as Iraqi Army forces pushing against ISIS forces in the city of al-Baghdadi. And the Kurdish Peshmerga are making a solid stand, even without firm weapons support. However, we’ve also been watching the videos of ISIS parading caged Peshmerga fighters.

Reuters reports, “Many Assyrian Christians have emigrated in the nearly four-year-long conflict in which more than 200,000 have people have been killed. Before the arrival of Kurds and Arab nomadic tribes at the end of the 19th century, Christians formed the majority in Syria’s Jazeera area, which includes Hasaka. Sunday’s offensive by Kurdish YPG militia reached within five km (3 miles) of Tel Hamis, an Islamic State-controlled town southeast of Qamishli, the Observatory said. At least 14 IS fighters died in the offensive, in which Assyrians fought alongside Kurds, it added. Eight civilians were also killed in heavy shelling by the Kurdish side, which seized several Arab villages from Islamic State control.”

It is important to note the Assyrian Christian community is one of the world’s oldest — far predating the revelations of a murderous warlord named Mohammad. And this isn’t the first time the Assyrians have faced genocidal ambitions at the hands of Muslims. The last time was during the last Islamic caliphate, the Ottoman Empire circa 1914. Doggone, history just seems to repeat itself when we fail to acknowledge evil. But then again, I should get off my high horse.

Could it be that somehow, even without the dedicated support from the United States, this cacophony of groups may be finding success against the ISIS onslaught?

“Military experts said militants were trying to open a new front to relieve pressure on Islamic State after several losses since being driven from the Syrian town of Kobani near the border with Turkey. “Islamic State are losing in several areas so they want to wage an attack on a new area,” said retired Jordanian general Fayez Dwiri.

Since driving IS from Kobani, Kurdish forces, backed by other Syrian armed groups, have pursued the group’s fighters as far as their provincial stronghold of Raqqa. A resident of Hasaka, jointly held by the Syrian government and the Kurds, said hundreds of families had arrived in recent days from surrounding Christian villages and Arab Bedouins were arriving from areas along the border.”

The question is, can ISIS be defeated without overwhelming combat power from a true coalition? And I’m not just talking about Iraq-Syria, but rather an effort that strikes at ISIS wherever its black flag flies — it dies.

This isn’t about a “whack-a-mole” campaign but rather a coordinated and well orchestrated operational endeavor that precludes any maneuvering of the enemy or shifting from one area to another.

I’m recommending a series of hammer/anvil type operations that denies the repositioning of Islamic terrorists. The time has come when we do not just focus on this group or that, but rather the defeat of this cancerous ideology — find the head of the Medusa and cut it off.

This isn’t about grievances or hearts and minds. We have to find the heart of the hydra and cut it out. That means its support, financing, and motivation — while you are severing its multiple heads.

That is strategy, not telling the enemy what you are not going to do and for how long you’re not going to do it. And please, don’t give me the “all we are saying is give peace a chance” and “war is not the answer” lecture. If the grim reaper shows up at your door, you have two options — and my preference is to kill him before he gets out of the car.

We are bereft of a policy to contend with this enemy, despite their firm conviction to continue their barbaric savagery. We should not be reading reports about Christians — or anyone — being abducted, beheaded, raped, sold into slavery or any other archaic practice.

We should be reading about how many of the enemy we have destroyed.

All wrong about Islam?

Maybe I’ve gotten it all wrong about Islamists after all from the files of Colonel Allen B. West

Read the Allen B. West Files Online
You know, we in the West don’t want anyone to think these misunderstood “activists” in Paris and around the world mean any harm — after all they’re just reacting to the disrespect and lack of opportunity the West has provided in stealing all their resources. Maybe I’ve gotten it all wrong these years — the Islamo-fascists and terrorists are the victims.

We’ve so wronged them all these centuries. You see, that’s why Muslim armies were in France in the 8th century. It was the fault of the West that Muslim armies invaded Spain and held power there for nearly seven centuries.

The Muslim navy was just out for a nice day sailing in 1571 in Lepanto and that mean ol’ Venetian fleet ruined their cruise. And if those Germanic and Polish Knights had just been more accommodating and let the invading Ottoman Turkish army into Vienna — after all, that Muslim army just wanted some decent chocolate.

So don’t you all see, we have a history to make up and that’s why we can’t bring ourselves to speak ill of this enemy. It’s all our fault!

Ok, hope you all had a good laugh, because the enemy isn’t laughing. They’re deadly serious.

The rallies are over, and it’s time we enter the realm of reality knowing “when tolerance becomes a one way street, it leads to cultural suicide.”

When you are afraid to face the enemy, try to excuse their behavior or even say who they are, you end up emboldening them. And that’s exactly what’s happening in the wake of the Paris Islamic terror attack.

Consider the message the enemy receives when the Obama administration says it is committed to shutting down GITMO because it has a negative effect upon our nation.

I tend to believe having an American beheaded has a negative effect on our nation. And how is that White House spokesperson Josh Earnest can earnestly state — even after a recently released video showing the Paris Islamic assailants shouting “We have avenged the prophet” — the terror attack, oops sorry the extremist violence, had nothing to do with Islam.

So, on the subject of emboldening the enemy, as reported by The Washington Times, “The Islamic State terrorist group has launched a big social media campaign to try to capitalize on the Paris massacre.”

“The group, known also by the acronyms ISIL and ISIS, is calling on jihadists to kill more Westerners and to celebrate the lives of the three Muslims who slaughtered 17 innocent civilians and police on a rampage that began on Jan. 7.”
“Twitter feeds and other social media messages began Sunday, urging each Muslim to act as a “city wolf” and kill co-workers and fellow commuters. Islamic State-linked Twitter accounts have used the hashtag #FightForHim — a reference to the Prophet Muhammad — over 3,000 times since early Sunday. One tweet says “revenge for him! Cut the tongues that do not have anything to insult except Allah and His Prophet!”
Another, “Where r the #Islamic State supporters who made the west mad? Tell your friend and be ready at 9 p.m.” Also, “In the #Charlie Hebdo blessed operation, 12 killed, the coming will be bitter.”
You just know ISIS watched State Department spokesperson Marie Harf say there are many forms of “extremists” and when asked by Fox News Martha McCallum to name them — well, she failed.

Why is it that we’re struggling — ok, I will clarify — the Obama administration is struggling to define this enemy — especially since they are stating who they are? I could see if it were a matter of trying to understand your enemy, but when they explicitly tell you their goals and objectives and provide you with a clear definition — why not accept who they say they are?

I stated a couple of nights ago with Greta Von Susteren that this recalcitrance displayed by President Obama and his administration can no longer be dismissed — perceptions are leading to the reality of complicity.

Let’s be honest and examine the policies — and as I told Greta, drones are not a strategy. Consider the disrespect shown to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as opposed to the embracing of Turkey’s President Erdogan. Why would the Obama administration provide financial aid to Hamas in Gaza yet fume over Israel building suburban apartments — and threatening sanctions, while relieving sanctions against Iran?

How can it be that Obama releases Islamic terrorists from GITMO but Army 1LT Clint Lorance remains incarcerated in the same facility that houses the fella who is guilty of “workplace violence” — sorry, i just don’t ever want to write or say that traitor’s name.

How can it be that Lorance is locked up for killing the enemy while the Soldier — and I use that term loosely — who deserted his post goes free, and could potentially receive hundreds of thousands of dollars — where is SGT Bowe Bergdahl by the way, or the investigation report?

And speaking of which, where are the five senior Taliban leaders we released for that deserter? You know those five fellas Qatar was supposed to keep track of for us? Let me give you a hint — they are free to return to Afghanistan this year.

So the Obama administration uses the IRS to attack “right wing extremists” — perhaps that’s what Marie Harf was talking about — but cannot force itself to say Islamic extremists.

Obama invites the Muslim Brotherhood to a speech in Cairo but somehow asked Benjamin Netanyahu to sit alone and take the backdoor exit. We’re told al-Qaida was decimated and on the run — so who are those guys in Yemen, Syria, reconstituted as ISIS in Iraq/Syria, and the Mahgreb to name a few places? But hey, we’re ending combat operations all over the place because we’re just that nice.

And what is the response to our niceness, to our kindness in not wanting to offend? “The Islamic State media campaign also includes social media postings, such as, “You are Muslim? Living in the West? Being a city wolf is your task! For you are the only ones to do so! You are already ‘citizens’ and no doubt you are the suitable ones to be chosen for such a task. You are sharing the same land with them. The same businesses and trains, the same neighborhoods.”
“Another tweet honors Anwar al-Awlaki, the American-born cleric who became an operations officer for al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and urged followers to kill Americans. He personally blessed the mission of failed “underwear bomber” Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.
The U.S. killed al-Awlaki in a 2013 drone strike. “We’ll #FightforHim, we’ll instigate, we’ll bomb and we’ll assassinate,” that tweet says.”
And yesterday Facebook complained because we showed a picture of the burned and charred bodies of victims from “severe violence of a few” — another group of nondescript extremists called Boko Haram.

It’s time we stop apologizing to an enemy that has been historically savage and barbaric — and continues that practice to this day. This enemy is Islamic. And if I’m the only one who will say it, so be it.

The onus is not upon us, it is upon them to prove us wrong — and so far outside of President el-Sisi and the mayor of Rotterdam, they ain’t doing a good job of it.

New Year message from Islamic Jihadists

Happy New Year message sent by Islamic jihadists: An analysis by Jim Kouri at the Examiner

Read the Kouri Files at the Examiner.com
While most people in the world on Wednesday bid farewell to 2014 and welcomed 2015, Islamic terrorists sent out their own brand of New Year greetings in the only way they know: killing the innocent and destroying public or private property.

Although, the U.S. news media is sure to cover the terrorist acts perpetrated in Iraq by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), as does President Barack Obama, they fail to understand that events in Iraq are part of an international jihad being fought by numerous radical Muslim terror networks and affiliates.

In fact, Obama and the majority of news people are more interested in closing down the Guantanamo Bay terrorist detention center, according to Thursday's The Hill.

During the run-up to New Year's Day there were a number of terrorist attacks in the Middle East and parts of Africa by groups such as al-Qaida ally Boko Haram, al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), Al Shabaab, and other lesser known, but just as dangerous, organizations.

"They share one goal: the creation of a world devoted to Allah and ruled by Sharia law," said former police counterterrorism expert Joseph Manziano, now a director of security for an international firm. "And because they share a common fanaticism -- religious intolerance -- they are the most dangerous human beings on the planet," he added.

Boko Haram in Nigeria

Nigerian military officials announced on Wednesday that there is a large problem with the collateral damage that makes it difficult to recapture the cities and towns invaded and occupied by Boko Haram terrorists especially in Nogeria's Borno State.

The military officials were responding to the report that Boko Haram fighters shot and killed about 15 villagers and wound dozens of others in Kautikari. Most of the casualties were farmers who were non-Muslims living and farming in Borno State, a region that's recognized as a Islamist stronghold.

The terrorist attack was launched just after a handful of terrorists reportedly were killed when an IED (improvised explosive device) exploded due to what is believed to be an error in the handling of the powerful bomb. In anger, the terrorists decided to torch more than 20 homes in the defenseless village.

Kautikari is located adjacent to the still suffering town of Chibok , the community from which 200 school girls were abducted and dragged off by Boko Haram terrorists in April 2014. Most of the girls, and others kidnapped since April, are still being held captive by the vicious jihadists.

Al Shabbab in Kenya

During his New Year's address to the Kenyan people, President Uhuru Kenyatta acknowledged the increasing threat posed by Muslim terrorists, especially Al Shabaab, and claims his government in the new year will take "the war against terrorism a notch higher for the sake of stability and growth of the nation." The Kenyan leader said that he is committed ruthlessly engage the enemy in their jihadist endeavors.

Kenyatta spoke about his intentions to secure Kenya he urged his people to play their role in ensuring their own personal security and the security of their nation. Also on New Year's Eve. Kenyatta officials announced that at least 10 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are being investigated for "probable links with Somalia-based Al Shabaab."

According to the Kenyan police, the NGOs are suspected of soliciting funds in the name of delivering food and medical aid, but then using the money to finance Islamist terrorism in the country and the region.

Al Shabaab in Somalia

Two journalists from war-torn Somalia were wounded on New Year's Eve after Al Shabaab attacked a newsroom and tossed at least two grenades the radio station, the Somalia journalists' union announced. The two newsmen, -- assistant news director Shiine Abdi Ahmed and anchorman Abdullahi Mohamud Aden -- suffered leg and arm shrapnel wounds but none of the injuries are life-threatening. Somalia considered one of the most dangerous countries in the world for reporters to operate.

“We condemn this attack on Radio Galkayo, and call on Galkayo authorities to safeguard working journalists by tracking down those responsible. Attacks against journalists in Galkayo are occurring with alarming regularity,” said Omar Faruk Osman, NUSOJ Secretary General, in a statement released on New Year's Eve.

Somalia's President Hassan Mohamud had promised that 2014 would see the end of Al Shabaab, an Al-Qaida-linked terrorist group that has been battling successive governments for years. His promise could not quell the pessimism of the Somali people since that nation possesses a weak army and even weaker police force.

Taliban in Afghanistan

Besides the continued warfare between the Islamists and Afghanistan's military and police forces, civilians continued to be targeted by the radical Muslims from the Taliban. on New Year's Eve, the Taliban fired a rocket that targeted a wedding party. The rocket killed at least 20 wedding participants and wounded another 45 people.

Sangin district is a Taliban stronghold and Afghan security forces battling the Islamists are fighting against the terrorists on their own since the withdrawal of U.S., British and other military forces from the area six months ago. Many of those killed by the rocket are said to have been women and children.

Ansar al-Sharia in Libya

In Libya, seven Coptic Christian men were abducted in a city under the control of Islamic terrorist groups such as Ansar al-Sharia, a group-linked to al-Qaida. Father Estefanos, a priest in Anba Karas, confirmed to reporters that seven Egyptian Coptic men in the Libyan city of Sirte.

“Gunmen stopped a vehicle that was transporting the seven men who were with other colleagues, but they were the only ones kidnapped,” said Estefanos highlighting that he received the information from the those riding with them.

A large number of Egyptian Christians have been killed in Libya since the overthrow of the Gaddafi regime. Also, Middle East news sources reported that a teenage Coptic Christian girl was abducted after terrorists murdered her parents in Sirte.

Sirte is occupied by Islamist groups, including Ansar al-Sharia which is accused of running Islamic State training camps.

Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula

On New Year's Day, the U.S. State Department condemned the suicide attacks on people in Yemen who were engaged in a peaceful celebration honoring the "Prophet's Birthday" on New Year's Eve.

A terrorist wearing a vest containing an IED (improvise explosive device) blew himself up during the religious celebration. The Yemeni government claimed that least 26 people died and another 48 were wounded.

"We extend our deepest condolences to the families of those killed and wounded in the attack," the U.S. State Department said in a statement issued on Wednesday. "This cowardly attack is an ugly reminder of the lengths to which terrorists will go to destroy society and harm innocent people."

The above list doesn't include terrorism occurring in Egypt (Muslim Brotherhood), Israel (Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad), Iraq (ISIS), Syria (ISIS, al-Nusra Front), Lebanon (al-Qaida, Hezbollah), Tunisia (Ansar al-Sharia), Algeria (al-Qaida in the Maghreb), Mali (al-Qaida in the Maghreb), and other hot spots.
