This week, while watching a replay of the infamous Sugar Ray Leonard/Roberto Duran boxing rematch I was reminded of one of the core reasons Americans have such a deep sense of frustration and resentment at the Obama administration.
The Leonard/Duran rematch gained infamy because Roberto Duran, who had recently defeated Leonard, and was renowned for his toughness in the ring, quit fighting in the eighth round of fight, turning his back on Leonard and telling the referee "no más" (Spanish for "no more").
Nobody likes a quitter, especially Americans (just ask David Caruso). Americans are willing to forgive a lot but it's really tough for us to forgive a quitter.

And while Americans across the country continue to toil in our spirited efforts to beat this disastrous economic "recovery," keep the mortgage paid, and put food on the table, the failed Obama administration agenda continues to make decisions which are unquestionably putting Americans in danger, effectively quitting on America, turning to the referee and declaring "no más."
The most recent example of the Obama administration "no más" strategy is the administration's release of a known-terrorist explosives-expert, from Gitmo. Yes, you read that right.
President Obama has quit on America again by releasing a man who the Washington Times describes as "a man personally praised by Osama bin Laden and who created the shoe-bomb design that was used unsuccessfully to bring down an airliner in 2001."

How is this troubling story not on the front page of every American and international newspaper? Isn't this a clear violation of the oath of office for the President of the United States? The Constitution mandates that the President SWEAR to "faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States," and to the best of their ability "preserve, PROTECT and defend the Constitution of United States."
Where in the Constitution does it mandate that the commander-in-chief release back on to the battlefield foreign enemy combatants, captured on foreign soil, and devoted to the murder of U.S. military personnel and the destruction of the United States? Did I miss that part?
