There is one thing that anyone with three functioning brain cells should realize. The Democrats and liberals are a disaster. Liberal Democrats are terrible on crime. They are terrible on national security and they are terrible on terrorism.
Now something has happened that should remind every one that the Democrats are not cheering for the good guys.
What is it?
A Moslem tried to assassinate a Philadelphia police officer. We know this because the attack was captured on video. Officer Jesse Hartnett was on routine patrol when he was attacked by an Islamist named Edward Archer.
Hartnett, though gravely wounded, fought back and Archer was quickly arrested. He confessed, professing his allegiance to ISIS and saying he wanted to kill a cop because cops enforced laws counter to Islam.
Despite his confession, the liberal establishment went into overdrive to claim this attack had nothing to do with Islam.
It is amazing that when a crazy guy attacks an abortion clinic, the left wants to blame every Christian. When Jihadists strike, they engage in mental gymnastics to avoid blaming Islam.
Jim Kenney, Philadelphia’s new mayor, immediately issued a statement. Kenney said,
“The second part is that in no way, in no way, shape or form does anyone in this room believe that Islam or the teaching of Islam has anything to do with what you have see on that screen. That is abhorrent. It’s terrible and it does not represent the religion in any way, shape or form or any of its teachings.”Is this guy really that stupid?
The answer is yes and that is why Democrats can never be trusted with public safety at the local level or at the national level.
Just a few weeks ago, Kenney had his panties in a wad because someone threw a pig’s head at a local mosque. While no one has been arrested for that offense, Kenney quickly denounced the “bigotry” involved.
Really?
No one got hurt in the pig’s head incident but Kenny knows it is “bigotry.” A cop is shot by an Islamist, pledging his loyalty to ISIS and saying Islam motivated him, and Kenney has to defend Islam.Kenney is the kind of elected official the Democrat Party produces today. His priorities are taking guns away from real Americans, raising taxes and transgender bathrooms.
Officer Hartnett almost gave his life for the City of Philadelphia. Had the Islamist had his way, Officer Hartnett would be dead today.
He deserves the gratitude of Americans and he deserves city leadership that has the courage to address why he was shot.
