Majority of violent criminals are Democrats

Hugh Hewitt recently interviewed Sen. Ted Cruz, who said when it comes to violent criminals, the "overwhelming majority" are Democrats.

Speaking on the Hugh Hewitt Show, Cruz said the media, however, "salivates" in the other direction, hoping that every time an act of mass violence happens, its a Republican:

This whole episode [Planned Parenthood shooting] has really displayed the ugly underbelly of the media. You know, every time you have some sort of violent crime or mass killing, you can almost see the media salivating, hoping -- hoping desperately that the murderer happens to be a Republican so they can use it to try to paint their political enemies.

Now, listen, here's the simple and undeniable fact: The overwhelming majority of violent criminals are Democrats.

Yet, as Cruz states, the media won't touch that statistic and willingly leaves that little factoid out of reports.

And Democratic politicians are no better, says Cruz. Democrats continue to prove they are soft on crime, as the senator reminds, by appointing judges that eagerly release criminals. They also take a cue from Barack Obama and choose lawyers who will represent cop killers for free and win those convicted felons the right to vote knowing they will cast a Democratic vote nearly every time.

"And so the media never reports on any of that," Cruz continued. "It is one of the more egregious examples of media bias and it's something we see over and over and over again." Portions of this report appeared at TR.orr
